The Jets already have 5 pro bowlers... D'Brickashaw Ferguson Nick Mangold Alan Faneca Darelle Revis Nate Kaeding
I guess you could put Nate Kaeding on there even though he's with the Chargers, afterall he was a main factor for a J-E-T-S win.
He didn't play the whole season though, did he. He played the easier half of his team's schedule. If he wasn't good enough to start the entire season for his team, then yeah sure, he deserves to go to the Pro Bowl.
As long as we're speculating, had he started at the beginning of the year, he probably would have been the one benched after 6 games.
I really don't get this argument. Titans go 0-6: 6 games against 5 teams over .500, including 3 playoff teams (plus Houston, Pittsburgh, and Jacksonville at 7-9) Then they go 8-2: 10 games against only 4 teams over .500. But their only 2 losses came in those 4 games! So VY won 6 out of his 8 games against average and sub-par teams.. That should be enough. But then combine that with the fact that the offense was based on the best RB in the game who set team records, and the defense improved in the 2nd half of the season.. WHERe do you get that the Titans "would probably be in the playoffs" if he had played the whole year?
As you pointed out, the Titans won all of their games with VY as a starter against average and sub-par teams. So it's likely that he could have helped the team to win one of the three games against Houston, Jacksonville, or Pittsburgh. Of course, I still don't think they would have made the playoffs with him as the starter the whole year because they wouldn't have had the midseason gain in confidence/momentum that came with the QB change.
Pittsburgh was pretty good early on until they lost Polamalu, among other things, but point taken. Say they win one of the 2 out of Houston & Jacksonville... yeah, if VY started 1-5, somehow I don't think it'd have worked out the same way (as you also said)
Biggest joke stealing other player's appearances. First, he stole MJDs ROY. Now he is stealing other pro bowlers.. What a tool.
That thief! I bet he put on all blacks and snuck into the NFL's office and ripped out the stat sheets of all the other QBs. He obviously is out to get the rest of the league! Forcing them to give him all of these awards, etc. How dare he.
He went 7-2 this year as the starter, correct? The 8th Titans win was against the Rams where Collins played most of the game cause VY got hurt. Two 9-7 teams made the playoffs this year, if VY played the first 6 games this year and just split... Then the Titans would probably be in the playoffs... simple math. Whats not to get.
And if OD didn't get hurt in week 8 ..blah blah blah It doesn't work like that. VY needs to buy something nice for Chris Johnson.
Check out the Richard Justice Blog, of course he's in love with VY...check out the replies. http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/archives/2010/01/vince_makes_the.html
Simple. We don't know what would have happened. If he went 3-3 in the first 6 games, there is no guarantee the Titans would have gone 8-2 in the last 10. If he started the season as QB, they might have gone 16-0. They also might have gone 0-16.
it's like you didn't read my post.. my main point was that VY went 7-2 (thanks for the correction) against mostly bad to average teams, while the first 6 games were (5 out of 6) against over .500 teams, including 3 playoff teams. To assume VY could go 3-3 against them is really reaching (on top of the whole "who knows if they go 8-2 down the stretch if they start any better")
lol@you for not understanding simple reading context and comprehension. for a guy that so many of his fans touted as clutch, he's failed 3 times in the biggest game of the season. that was the point of the post, moran.
