Beyond that, the reason they got the ball back so quickly was that going for it left the Colts pinned down at the 1 yard line, which let the Titans get a quick 3 and out, and the ball at midfield. With the way the game was going, I think it was absolutely the right call to go for both TDs.
Vince is such an enigma. You rarely see players in sports go from playing so poorly to playing so well in such a short amount of time. I guess that is the nature of the NFL though, seems like the more team-oriented a sport is the more frequent and wildly performance can vary from year to year. Unlike the NBA or MLB, where a talented scorer or pitcher will post their typical numbers almost no matter where they go. Any word on the leg injury? Is it a hammy, or the knee problem from earlier in the week?
I read Hammy yesterday....but it could be related, who knows? I still think he plays next week 6-1 this year as a starter, Jeff Fisher might have waited a couple of weeks too late to play him.....but I think at the end of the day, Fisher made him into a quality NFL QB...by forcing Vince to become a professional. DD
I think VY is one of those guys that takes a little bit longer to learn things but when he does, he has it nailed down and it becomes second nature.
And before people come in and mock his completion percentage, he has been under tons of pressure and has smartly thrown the ball away at least 7 times. His 3 TDs have been amazing tosses where he dropped them into a small target. Vince is CLUTCH ! DD
Vince is becoming a good NFL passer, if he keeps this up, he could easily reach the top 10 in a few years.
But why does he have to play for the Titans?????? WHY???????? WHy couldn't he wait until next year to be good after Tenn released him? WHy???????
dude, i'm talking about wins, dada bumped another thread about the titans having the same record as the texans after the 0-6 start. DON'T COUNT YOUR CHICKENS BEFORE THEY ARE LAID
