You gotta admit that Vince's throwing motion looks like Lamar throwing that javelin in Revenge of the Nerds.
Right after throwing the pass, to me it looked like he ran off the field, past the sidelines and walked in front of fans, high-fiving a couple of people while his teammates piled on Britt in the end zone.
yeah watch the replay when they show VY the entire time. It looks that way in real time but on the reply you can see what he did.
He's always been that way. After scoring the last TD in the Rose Bowl, he went halfway through the tunnel over in that endzone high-fiving fans and stuff like that before coming back out for the 2pt conversion. He loves interacting with fans (probably why he took the booing so hard last year).
This is so upsetting. I was hoping he would crash and burn so the Titans wouldn't pick up his option for next year. Vince became a starter my freshman year of college. I've always felt a close connection to him as a player because I was there when it started. I became really resentful though when ppl were bashing the Texans for drafting Mario instead of him and would even root for him to get hurt so people would shut up. On top of that, he plays for the freaking titans. It was frustrating enough when old oiler fans rooted for them when they went to the superbowl. Now, my fellow longhorns and close friends were rooting for Tennessee. CBS Austin would play Titan games INSTEAD of houston games because the ratings were better. I would love to root for him again if he played in the NFC. Sadly though, I'll be there for years to come rooting for Mario to bash his head in. At least Donny Most might concede now that the dude has intangibles as a quarterback that help the team do well most of the time. His ability to recognize gaps in the field and take off through them keep LBs on the Spy etc. Today, he just passed like a mad man. 60% completion isn't good but he is throwing the ball away instead of trying to force stuff. I'm amazing his INTs are so low this season. He was 1:2 TD:INTs in his last year as a starter. Sigh. Hope the Jags aren't in need of a backup QB when Coly McCoy is in the draft in april.
I wonder how much pressure was taken off Vince when he came in at 0-6. Surely at that point they were thinking they had a shot at the playoffs, but it was definitely a long, long shot. On the last set of 4 downs, I believe on 2nd down, he over threw his receiver in the endzone. Right after the play he looked to the sidelines and was smiling. Once I saw that vintage Vince "everything's cool" attitude, I had this feeling he was going to do something.
Man I couldn't be happier for VY. My homer orange is burning bright right now. I just hate that it has to be with the Titans, but it's hard not to root for VY.
Man, cant wait to see the replays....been travelling out of the country for work the past 24 hrs so couldnt see the 2nd half. Way to go vince.
