There's no question that being the backup last year helped his maturity and development as a QB, because his performance has been night and day - I don't really know who you are arguing/calling out here?
VY as a Starting QB 23 -11 = .676 = winnah 1 INT as a starter in 2009 Matt Shaub 14-24 = .368 = looosah 11 INT as a starter in 2009 It will be a sad day when he beats the Colts next week.
Yeah but, what are they supposed to say? I mean, hell, most of those guys were saying Young was going to be great and that Fisher was stubborn for not playing him and that he should have played him sooner. Now, even that's looking like they were right. Sorry man, I hate the f'kin Titans too, but you have to give credit where it's due.
I dont' know if the VY is god crowd quite appreciated how much better he had gotten - hard to when he doesn't play - I sure didn't expect him to be as good as he has been this year.
very nice Sam, you should have come round to my place to watch it he certainly has more time, the O line is helping and the D is petrified about his running ability
Actually there were a steady stream of complaints about Jeff Fisher not playing VY even going back to Ten playoff loss year (that VY could've at least done SOMETHING in that game last year).
ok - i will say it... i was wrong.. i have been wrong for this entire time about VY. i shall never roll my eye when i hear someone speak of his holiness... fire kubiak....
Again? Oh, you mean like he was in High School when he was the best prospect in the country? Or were you talking about college when he went 30-2 and ended with a National Championship? Or are you referring to the NFL, where he is 23-11 and carrying a 9 game winning streak? The next time Vince Young gets figured out will be the first.
um, no, he's talking about that first time when he was benched, started crying like a little girl, and then drove off alone into the darkness without telling anybody his whereabouts.. he's talking about that precise meltdown that made his coach play a 70 year old ahead of him.
What does any of that have to do with the NFL figuring him out? At that point, he had won his last 4 games (including that one).
