never... ok maybe if vince wins a superbowl before the texans ever have a winning season or make the playoffs.
VY was great. I hate to admit it but he was. the stats didnt show it. He made alot of first down conversions with his ability to run.
I didn't mean it as snark. VY played a good game, but I wasn't exactly blown away by it. The Titans ran a kind of "pick your poison" offense, and the Texans chose to stop CJ instead of Vince. And to his credit Vince did exactly what he was supposed to do. So props to him. But I'm still not ready to "crown his ass" just yet, so to speak. I really just wanted an excuse to post that picture.
Vince has been better then I expected. If he can continue to manage games, and make plays with his legs, the Titans could be very good. Too bad they have to win out to have a reasonable shot at the playoffs. That 0-6 start with all 6 teams being from the AFC and a H2H with the Steelers really hurt.
vince continues to prove all the doubters wrong. Hes gonna be in the NFL for a while. Great game last night. 6 games to go for the titans. Anything above an 8-8 season for the Titans after an 0-6 start is amazing. Fisher continues to look like the stubborn coach he is, by not giving Vince a chance to play/start early this year.
Last night, Vince Young looked like everything people hoped Mike Vick would be. He stayed in as a pocket passer, but as soon as that collapsed, he was gone for a first down. As a Texan fan, I was discouraged every time the Titans dropped back to pass on a third down, because I knew if nothing was open, Vince would get a first with his legs. This team would be scary good with better wide receivers. I mean theirs are decent, but give them a star, and another decent receiver, and they're crazy good.
That is what is kind of crazy about the VY vs Schuab comparisons Name ONE receiver VY had of the caliber of AJohnson? HOWEVER Name One Running Back Schuab has had of the Caliber of Chris Johnson Which is more important to the QB? Rocket RIver
I felt the same why and I found myself wondering why they did not have a QB spy more often on 3rd down situations. They did it once or twice, but not nearly enough for how often VY was burning them with his legs.
as opposed to the texans one-dimensional offense? please. VY showed poise in the pocket and read the defense admirably. he made the obvious bad throw that dunta didn't catch but you could see from multiple replays that vince was calm and scanning his options before he decided to EXPLODE LIKE THE BIG BANG AND DESTROY THE HEARTS OF TEXANS again and again on third down.
I think Miami would be a good fit for him too. He went to school there and the Dolphins need a big time receiver. Ted Ginn can't catch. you know, college hero comes home
Well he played well, darn it. I love the Texans more than I hate VY so I don't care what he does the rest of the year, long as the Titans don't take our playoff spot.
Wow, you're really reaching to find some VY hate here. Nice work on cutting out the part of my post where I said Vince "played a good game" and I gave "props to him." And I'm not really a Texans fan, so miss me with the all caps and cracks about the Texans offense.
