Oh, both could be playing like complete washouts, but it shouldnt matter how the running back is playing. You as a lineman should do your job to your fullest ability regardless. Same thing for the rest of the team around COllins.
No one is saying they did not. Folx just hypothesizing While one SHOULD do this that or the other we all tend to try harder for the folx we LIKE Rocket RIver
Oh no doubt. But there is a line between giving 100% for the team and 110% for the guy you like, and giving 110% for the guy you like and only 75% for the team. I cant fault the first, but totally can the 2nd. But like you said there is no proof of this going on in either place.
vs. 49ers (18th best defense): 172 yds passing, 0 TD, 0 INT 14 yds rushing, 1 TD vs. Jags (23rd best defense): 125 yds passing, 1 TD, 0 INT 30 yds rushing, 0 TD vs. Bills (25th best defense): 210 yds passing, 1 TD, 1 INT 29 yds rushing, 0 TD ------------ Don't really buy CJ's logic. I wish I could say VY would face his first good defense next Monday, but who knows which Texans team will show up. Week 13 vs. Colts should be a good measuring stick.
Just making a symbolic switch to another runner makes the line more accountable. As in them thinking, if we dont block for the next guy they'll DEFINITELY put all the blame on us and we'll be out of jobs. There isnt anything to indicate Slaton is the Terrell Owens of running backs, or that he has any different temperament than Moats. Contrasting styles like Vince Young and Kerry Collins, maybe there can be some varying preferences there over who the team favors... This is Vince Young's seventh straight start he's won by the way. Kinda surprising considering he was seen as lower than Dan Orlovsky for a bit.
Fixed that for you. Seriously the Jags destroyed the Titans the first time around. There may actually be something to the logic that Vince helps Johnson. Teams do fear him running, plus they have started running some option to help them get to the open field. If only they would start running more screens for Johnson.
contain Chris Johnson and no turnovers and the Texans win. i'm worried about VY's running ability but i'm downright scared of CJ running 200 yards for the game.
Man as a Longhorn/Oilers fan for years. Now a Huge Texans fan. This weeks game is going to be really hard to figure out but the Titans are going nowhere and I don't want Vince to stick it in our ear. But I am pretty sure he is.
He just wins....7 starts in a row now, and 21-11 for his career. Sometimes it is not pretty, but winning is everything. DD
I don't think VY is a very good QB. However. Team was 0-6 prior to vince starting. and 3-0 with him. Hes doing something right.......
