^^ Don't know why we're bringing up Albert into this, sir, but the Redskins aren't doing so well, either. Losing to the Lions... and THEN the Panthers?!!?? I don't want for Vince Young to fail. I want for all those who think Vince Young is a GOD to stop thinking so. EDIT: DANG IT, that's like the 5th time I make a "^^" post_amount_in_thread mod 20 = 1 post... and it's on the next page...
I knew he was a big part, and I agree they miss him more than they ever imagined, but at the same time I am glad they were never going to pay him 100 million ( I believe he says we couldve had him for 33-34 for less years). Either way that type of contract will continue to haunt the Redskins for a long time.
Apparently your reading comprehension skills take a back seat to your perceived position of bbs grammar police... mrdave543 mentioned that he didn't expect the defense to be as bad as it is. I gave my opinion as to why they're not nearly as good as last year.
the people who hate VY here aren't half the Houstonian he is. VY goes back and supports his HOUSTON high school and takes part in alot of charity work. VY always reps Houston. Reggie Bush keeps repin San Diego. I doubt San Diego Charger fans hate Reggie Bush. But then again, it goes back to University hate. One university in this state won a national title recently, the others.. they aren't anywhere close.
But Reggie Bush doesn't play for the Chiefs, Raiders, or Broncos. VY plays for a team that many Houstonians despise and a division rival. Apples and oranges...
The hate for Bud Adams is the underlying excuse. To me, its about the university hate that's been around for 100 years. I doubt a bunch of Houstonians hate Eddie George, Al Del Greco, Steve McNair, etc. VY comes in, he's the most polarizing figure and for some reason has alot of fans in Houston. I doubt the Cowboys get more hate than VY by the non-UT alumni Texans fans.
I don't know why Texans fans are talking **** about VY. It would be one thing if the Texans were playoff bound. But the Texans suck (Chris Brown from the 1 yard line LMAO...I guess Gary didn't learn from the JAX game)...the Titans suck worse. Gary Kubiak regime = fail
You gotta admit that VY looks pretty bad out there. His best tool is running on third down. His inaccurate arm makes me believe that he will never be a formidable starter again. This is coming from a UT/VY fan. There is no doubt that Houston has the better QB.
he does look bad, but he still has a chance to turn it around. let's see what does. Cedric Benson got his act together. Where's the Ced hate lately?
You'll never get it. VY had an amazing game, on a national stage, against a below average division 1 college defense and because of that game, he snuck into the NFL draft and fooled everyone and went #3 overall. Hell if that guy Bush lateralled the ball to had been paying attention and took it to the house, or if that Texas DB didn't make that awesome interception and get his toes in bounds, or if USC converts that 4th down play, then VY probably returns to college the next year and gets drafted in the second round of the NFL the following year. But because he won that game, IN COLLEGE, his draft status shot up despite that he was poor in the combine (wonderlic) The Texans organization wasn't fooled, thank god, and then Bud Adams wanted to stick to Houston and he went against the Titans coaching and scouts and made them select VY at #3 and it backfired on his ass and now, yes, the real houstonians, the real Texans fans are loving every minute of it and it has nothing to do with VY personally, or the university of Texas at all, whatsoever.
I admit it. VY looks bad. Mario is better than VY. Repeat Mario is better than VY. If this thread is about eating crow then I'll eat it. But it's not. VY fans ate crow last year when he got benched and went on suicide watch. It's about kicking VY when he's down. Hoge is jackhole so I don't care whether he is right or wrong.
I hate to break the news to you, but Bud Adams vs Houston, Bud Adams won. Houston was without a team for along time, many football fans had no choice but to watch the Cowboys in Houston (I was working in the same building as Bob McNair). Bud Adams owns the history of the Oilers, he got Warren Moon to speak in Nashville and they finally made it to the Super Bowl. They've put a really good product out for a long time. Steve McNair, Eddie George, Jeff Fisher etc. And last year they had the best record in football. Fail cause I know you are like 17 years old and know nothing of Houston football.
Ced got the "bust" label on here after one season and was talked about quite regularly as proof UT doesn't produce NFL players.
