What have the Titans done for me? Drafted Vince Young, Let him start, and being able to watch him play and win games. So having something entertaining to watch other than the Texans lose and play like crap. And also Vince is a Houston kid, he single handly beat USC in one of the most anticipated games of the past decade. That was entertaining. This thread is kind of funny too.. So guess you can say Vince, the Titans, and people who post their hate on Vince on here has brought me ENTERTAINMENT. Something the Texans will never be able to provide.
Did yall see that int he threw, and then basically tackled over the dude who intercepted it? I just saw it on FNIA. That **** was pretty sweet. The field at Titan Stadium place whatever it's name is was crap looking.
oh, and for the VY Jock sniffers, his team lost, so please don't go drinking and driving at the same time. It would be an (un)fortuante lost for all of us.
It's telling that you basically show up after a loss which still gives him a winning record as a starter.
i know many of the non Vince fans blame Vince for the game, but give Belechek credit, he's only won 3 superbowls as a head coach and stopped the RAMs that year, yeah that RAMs team that scored a billion TDs . So give credit to the Patriots. They did destroy the Texans this year. At least the game was competitive til the 4th QTR.
Damn, the 49ers won! The Titans could have been in the playoffs, oh well. Reggie Bush made it to the playoffs out of all the top rookies in the draft. Cutler and VY were close.
Titans end up at 8-8 after many predicted that they would be dead last in the AFC south VY is a difference maker, no doubt about that. The Texans would probably have been better off if they drafted VY (if anything, he at least makes for entertaining football) I'm tired of david carr and his 2yd passes.
People for some reason forget that this is Vince's 1st year and that he left college early. look at Alex Smith, he was #1 and he completely sucked his first year. But look at him now, that dude is playing quite well. they beat the Broncos in Denver which is a tough task. Can't tell if it the 49ers made any huge changes, but the progess Smith showed is what Texan fans expected to see from Carr...several years ago.
how did this fall off the first page??? NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2718595
was waiting on the thread to appear elsewhere. sure it will eventually. followed by 12 pages of bickering. congrats vince.
Imagine, the texans could have had the offensive and defensive rookies of the year. But we had to have Mario
Perhaps Young's finest moment was a 39-yard TD run in overtime to beat Houston, his hometown team that bypassed the Lone Star State hero to take defensive end Mario Williams atop the draft. There seemed to be as many Titans No. 10 jerseys in Reliant Stadium as any Texans shirts. "It was a great ending," Young said. "Being from Houston and being in front of my family and the fans that respect me as a player and a person, as well, it can't get any better than that." Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press This was good for Titan fans as well as Texans fans. The Titan fans get treated to a great victory and the Texans fans saw the price of David Carr jerseys drop 40% at the outlet stores (Reebok). Now everyone who enjoys the Texans can buy their David Carr gear for cheap! #1stunna
You can directly credit Norm Chow and Jeff Fisher for this award. They were able to devise a offense that was able to overcome Vince's shortcomings in the passing game. Vince still has a long way to go before becoming an adequate NFL QB.
What a slap in the face of the Texans organization for being so damn stubborn and picking Mario (whom Demeco makes look like a fool). Again...I'll repeat myself...I hate Casserly!!!
Vince Young is up there with some rarified Oilers' talent including Big Earl Cambell and Eddie George as rook of the year.
