i was watching the game at my local pub in brooklyn. they've got the nfl ticket and with all the games going, and with the majority of the people being giants fans, VY's run caused the most excitement all day. people who have no vested interest, that come from all parts of the country, had their jaws hanging to the floor. awesome.
Once again, like in the last month, every Sunday, I stand up here and say: 'Wow, we found another way to do it,' " said Titans coach Jeff Fisher. ---------------- "I felt like it was in slow motion -- the whole thing," cornerback Dunta Robinson said of the winning score. "It took forever to unfold. Like a bad dream. It is a sick feeling. It is a bitter feeling and you will probably think about this until you see them next year." ------------------- You don't say it's personal, but this was kind of personal because the team went out and went against everyone and got the defensive player (in the draft)," said Texans defensive end N.D. Kalu. "This was our chance to prove to the city that we made the right choice." But once again they weren't able to do it. ------------------------- espn article
He's great...we get it...This type of performance does drive me to drive me to drinking...The Texans performance that is...
LOL, and sadly, the absolute PWNRSHIP of the Houston Texans by Vince Young and the dark lord Bud Adams is complete. Way to go HOUSTON EXPANSION FRANCHISE!!!!! YOU KNOW HOW TO MAKEZ THE GOOD FOOTBALZ!!!
Aw, come on. You know that the SI Cover Jinx won't apply to Vince Young. That's for mere mortals. Vince Young could be on the cover of Sports Illustrated, Madden, and in the Campbell's Chunky Soup commercials in the same year and still lead the Titans to a Super Bowl victory. That's just one obstacle he'd have to overcome.
Vince had the game in the palm of his hands. Everyone should have known we had no chance, there was no way Vince would come home to Houston and lose.. no way.
That's what makes it inexcusable. With all the hype he received, if any team should have known to take Vince....... I was listening to the sarcasm on ESPN today. "Well, too bad he didn't do this in college, near Texas where the Texans could take notice, etc".
On NFL Live, they have that segment "What were they thinking?" usually it shows plays, like Brady throwing an illegal forward pass (his ode to David Carr). But for the Texans it was "What were they thinking not drafting Bush or Young?" Sean Salisbury said "Do they regret it? Just watch Sportscenter every week" LOL! Thats what you get Enron Relaint Shell Aramark Texans for being so dumb. Hey lets not draft these guys and none of the fans would notice = Enron Management, hey lets shredd these documents! = Wesley Snipes, hey I dont need to pay these taxes, no one will notice!
