Just as I suspected, Fisher doesn't want to deal with VY anymore. This is going to make their relationship even worst (if possible) if VY doesn't think he needs surgery. I think Fisher is out at the end of the year and I wouldn't mind the Texans giving him a call if that is the case.

    Lol.

They wont be kicking out Fisher.

The one who will be off the team is Young.

I don't think he could do that unless the doctors agreed that he needed it.

Too bad, I would have loved to see that drama and what it would have entailed.

Fisher's time in Tenny is probably done, he is a good coach, but not an elite one.

i agree. fisher is too good of a coach to let VY taint his coaching career. i think at the end of the season, he'll go to bud and ask what is the plans for the team.

i think until VY matures, fisher is not going to be able to coach him anymore. the dude throws temper tantrums like a pregnant woman or a menopausal lady. and fisher is used to coaching veterans.

but i think bud will choose VY. fisher will resign (not be fired) and he will sign with another team with the quickness. COWBOYS anyone?

b/c his QB isn't a good one. the guy has taken his team to the super bowl (and within a few inches of winning it).

    he's an elite coach.

    Was thinking the same.

Bud Adams would disagree with the above notion.

Elite coach? Come on, I am a titans fan, and hes not an elite coach. Hes an above average, tenured coach, who is as stubborn as his owner is.

He has a few different options, I would love to have him back in Houston.

which coach isn't stubborn? are you serious?

larry brown, JVG, parcells, phil jackson... go down the list of some really good coaches who have either gone to the big game/finals or whatever of their respective leagues.

that's why they're great coaches. they DEMAND certain things from their players.

do you want a coach who caters to every player willy nilly? like wade phillips? or keuster? now those coaches have no backbone and that's why nobody respects them. they are like puppets.

i always had respect for fisher b/c his teams are always tough, play defense, and always competitive. hell, they went 13-3 a few years ago when no one expected it. and he was a few inches from winning the super bowl v. the greatest offense of all time in the rams.

are you kidding me? this guy will be signed the INSTANT he is let go by the titans. in an instant.

hopefully he'll go to the cowboys. my team needs some toughness in them. garrett is too "flashy" and we all know the cowboys are already flashy as it is. they need some discipline.

It would be awesome if Fisher leaves and VY stays. Leave it to Bud to make the biggest mess of the situation.

VY definitely should not come to Houston. Thankfully, I'm confident that won't happen.

So did John Fox and Ken Wisenhunt but I wouldn't consider them elite coaches.

I like Fisher for the most part but I think his tenure as a NFL HC has somewhat overrated his actual accomplishments. He's had a .500 or worse record in 11 of his 17 seasons with only 6 playoff appearances and a 5-6 postseason record (3 of those wins came in his SB run).

I think that's overly selective analysis. 5 of those seasons were 8-8 finishes. 8-8 is a respectable finish. The actual number of losing seasons is 6 out of 17 which is pretty damn good.

He's no John Madden (76.3 lifetime winning %) but his 56% lifetime winning percentage is solid. Fisher may not be elite but he's probably going to be in the Hall of Pretty Good and the Texans would be lucky to get him.

I really wouldn't consider 8-8 w/ no playoff appearance a respectable finish. Even more so considering he had an elite QB for the majority of his career. I definitely agree that Fisher would be an upgrade over Kubiak but I'm just not sure that he's an elite coach anymore.

Hah that's just because 8-8/no playoffs is Kubiak's specialty. When 8-8/no playoffs is a middling/bad season for you, you're a good coach. Fisher had three 13-3 seasons. That's impressive for any coach.

Fisher's attitude and sense of responsibility are exactly what this team needs.

Not arguing whether Fisher is a good coach or not, he obviously is and I wouldn't mind at all if he replaced Kubiak. But is he an elite coach as some have alluded? Not in my personal opinion and I think there are a lot of Titan fans he would agree as well.

What if they don't want to come to Houston, then what do you do? You think the Texans can just get anyone they or the fans want?
