So if I act like a nutjob at a job, it's up to the employer to take care of me?

VY has had tons of chances and I think the team has done the best it can but he's still a grown man, personal responsibility has to play into it at some point...

how the hell do you destroy tmac for what he did, when what VY did is even worse?

the guy basically trashed his head coach, walked out on his team, and now saying it's not all on him?

and all this, VY is not even a star player in this league or a guy who has pro bowls or other credentials on his resume. he's widely considered as an average player with potential.

Tmac quit on the team on the floor, and everywhere else. It is not remotely comparible to anyone not taking a ride on his missile with their cowboy hat in hand and screaming...YEE HAW !!

I am not saying he was right, I am saying I understand his frustration, and a lot of that is the way Fisher and he clash....

VY walked out on his entire team. THE ENTIRE TEAM b/c he couldn't stand his coach criticizing him. that's worse than quitting on a play or maybe a half of a game (even kobe did that)

and now he is saying he can't stand the public criticizing him.

tmac may have been a diva, and a high-maintenance player. but his bad play may at least be attributed to his injuries and his frustration of over his injuries.

and you didn't understand tmac's frustrations? c'mon man, the double standard by you is amazing.

According to some people it's been some of the worse acts ever recorded in the history of the team....

Stop comparing things that are not related. Go give him a reach around in another thread.....

Vince was not in the right, but his coach has been screwing with him for the last 3 years.

Hes been a below average QB, an undisciplined player, and a mental liability.

Why does he even deserve another chance?

VY never said I wish I played with a Tim Duncan or replace Paul Pierce with me.

VY never said he wanted to play for the Magic, or Bulls, or Knicks, or Heat or Lakers

VY only said he wanted to play for.. the Texans.

I would hope that Bud makes the horrible decision and keeps VY and get's rid of Fisher.

Then, if the stars align correctly, Fisher will be Houston's head coach...back to the city where he belongs.

Woohoo! 5 playoff victories (3 of which came after the single luckiest play of the last 30 years of football) over 17 years of coaching!

    Can't wait!

He has the most limited and dumbed-down playbook in all of pro football. He never has more than two reads and has lots of bootlegs and short drops. It is as limited as David Carr's in his first year with the Texans.

If you put him in a real, normal NFL passing offense, and one that wasn't built around a dominant running game, he'd be exposed. He hasn't changed, the team has been coddling him - designing its offense around his weaknesses.

Just talked to #Titans owner Bud Adams. He said Jeff Fisher and Vince Young are going to have to get along.

    http://www.tennessean.com/article/2...62/Bud+Adams++Young++Fisher+have+to+get+along

Titans owner Bud Adams said Monday that quarterback Vince Young and Coach Jeff Fisher are going to have to get along.

Young and Fisher had a confrontation in the locker room after Sunday’s overtime loss to the Redskins, an incident Fisher followed up by telling media that Young is no longer the starting quarterback.

Cooler heads will have to prevail going forward, said Adams, who talked with Fisher, Young and General Manager Mike Reinfeldt on Monday to get more information about what happened after the game.

“They are going to have to work together. I haven’t given up on Vince, and I am sure Fisher hasn’t either,” Adams said by phone from his office in Houston. “Vince was upset and said some things he regretted after doing it, but you have to get to the bottom of it, straighten it out and move on.

“It is one of those things that happened. It has happened, it is all over with and we want to get Vince back and playing again for us. … These things happen. I have been at this thing for a long time, about 51 years now. I have seen a lot of things happen and I don’t want to go jumping off the building over something happening one time.’’

Young, who suffered a right thumb injury in the third quarter, became upset when Fisher opted to stick with rookie Rusty Smith to finish the game.

Sources said Fisher and Young had words in the locker room, and when Young began to leave Fisher told him “not to run out on your teammates.’’ Young then told Fisher, “I’m not running out on my teammates, I’m running out on you,’’ sources said.

In a press conference later, Fisher said Young had lost his starting job the rest of the season, injury or no injury.

While there’s a chance the Titans could place Young on injured reserve, which would end his season, Adams said the fifth-year pro would not be released.

“It is not anything real serious,’’ Adams said. “Vince was just so upset with himself getting hurt that he was running mad about everything. Vince is a young guy and a good player and he has never had an injury like this before, and it is getting to him. He told me he wanted to go back in the game but the doctors didn’t think it would be a good idea. He was hurting but he was going to play anyway.

“This will all go away pretty quick.’’

Young was the third overall pick of the 2006 draft. He is under contract through 2011, when he is scheduled to make $8.5 million

Asked if Young would be back next season, Adams responded: “Oh, God yeah. He is under contract. I wouldn’t want to let him go… we are going to pay him a lot of money.’’

As for Fisher, who is also under contract through 2011: “He is under contract, too. They can’t change that. They are under contract. That is why you have contract.”

The Titans have to move forward, Adams said.

“I just want them to get over it. It is like you made the wrong turn and went down the wrong highway and you were upset because someone caused you to do it, but when it is all over with you didn’t have a wreck,” Adams said. “You just have to sleep on it and do better the next day.’’

The 87-year-old owner said he understands Fisher’s frustration, but he also has sympathy for Young.

“He may have had a good reason to be upset because he wanted to talk to the players in the dressing room, and Vince wasn’t real happy with himself. But he is a young guy and he is learning and he has been in the pro ranks for a while now. He has done a good job with us,’’ Adams said. “I talked to all of them and told them to get this thing settled down and get back to work.’’

Fisher is expected to discuss the situation in his weekly press conference, which begins today at 4 p.m.

    I wonder why?

Oh that's right... it's because he's a player that his owner has been ramming down his throat since he declared for the draft. VY, whether your opinion of him is good or bad, is simply not a Jeff Fisher type of player. The blame for this situation not only lies on Young and Fisher, but on Bud Adams as well. You don't put your coach in that situation and expect it to work out well.

I don't want to really derail this thread but it is pretty ironic that a T-Mac fan would call someone else out for quitting.

This "performance" by T-Mac was downright disgraceful.

If Vince Young is healthy, you got to believe Bud Adams is going to force Jeff Fisher to start Vince Young. I really think Fisher will be out as coach at the end of the season. Fisher and Young's relationship is beyond repair, and it will be best for both to part.
