I'm aware of his play this season, but he has yet to keep his composure for an entire season. I'd like to see 16 games of good VY football. Something that has yet to be shown.
Hah, name one recent NFL QB that has done that not named Peyton Manning Drew Brees, or Tom Brady....lol. DD
What I'm basically saying is VY is an average to below average QB right now and seems to be very inconsistent. Whether it be mental issues or on the field issues. The guy always seems to be getting pulled out of games or whinning. I could list over half the starting QBs in the league that are far better than him. I'd take rookie Sam Bradford leading my team over VY.
Of course they were more patient with Carr. Care to guess why? The Titans (2006-10) and the Texans (2002-06) couldn't be an example of more dissimilar circumstances. But for purposes of VINCE, and what he has done both on and off the field combined, he would never have seen as much forgiveness as he has from Tennessee anywhere else because of Bud Adams.
It's funny to see all the VY haters getting excited and chattering away like a buncha housewives gossiping about the couple down the block with marital problems. I know you are going to pick the side opposite of VY, but fisher is NOT a championship coach. He is very well respected cuz he is the elder and he knows how to say the right things, but he is a sinister individual (my opinion). An example is you often hear the titans are the dirtiest team (not necessarily a bad thing, see the steelers) I think the comparison to jerry sloan is apt. They can win a buncha games, win the heart of the media. But 0 combined 'ships in all those years means something. fisher should have been fired awhile ago in my opinion.
Please explain how vince has been a distraction ON the field? Don't you think Fisher pulling vince in WEEK 2 against the steelers (best defense in the league) shows how little faith/confidence he had in him?? A coach should do whats best for the franchise, and playing Kerry Collins or Rusty Smith when you are fighting to win the conference, shows how much he refuses to be behind vince. When Vince has been healthy and is "allowed" to play, the Titans chances of winning are significantly higher. I am not excusing Vince's actions yesterday at all, but to put 100% of the blame on him is ridiculous. At this point, I don't see Fisher going anywhere, but I can only hope.
not defending VY but when he says that his coach doesn't believe in him and that is why he is frusterated - that's what ppl have observed for a few years now. This was just the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak.
...? I'm saying that what has come home to roost for Vince is a product of everything, good and bad, on field and off. He's had some good games, he's had some terrible games. It all gets factored in.

David Carr's starting job was never questioned never b*tching and moaning during that time sure helped Sage alot. Not Saying Sage is elite but he was better than David Carr Rocket River
b****ing and moaning is irrelevant. Sage is not a starting QB. And how is that relevant? VY was the starter.
You mean how all the VY lovers got excited when Carr played poorly and Mario struggled his first year? Who cares. I'm talking crap about VY, Favre, and whoever else deserves it.
Michael Irvin, NFL Network: “First of all, with an injury like a thumb, when you don’t have serious ligament damage or anything, you have to come to the player and say, 'How does it feel?' Because there’s no way we can tell how it feels. You have to get that information from Vince Young. But now when I watched Vince Young on the sideline starting to try on the gloves, I thought, 'That’s good, right there.' He’s trying anything and everything to get on the football field and he needs that because of all the other issues he’s had. He needs to show his team, 'I’m ready. I want to play for you guys. I want to be out there with you guys.' But to that point, I’ve never seen him throw a football with a glove.” “Let me tell you something. Vince Young needs to be the starting quarterback for that team. Make no mistake about it. The way he’s played and his win-loss record says that. But there are some things that Vince Young is doing that cannot happen from the quarterback position. You can’t throw your pads in the stands. You cannot walk off and not speak to the media because you are the leader. That’s the time to speak to the rest of your team through that thing right there we call a camera.”
Man, Young is getting lit up in the media today by some of his most ardent backers. Whitlock: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...michael-vick-nfl-qb-is-a-full-time-job-112210 Justice: http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustic...houstonchronicle/sportsjustice+(SportsJustice)
After two very public meltdowns, the kid is mentally soft and unsound. Trying to blame Fisher or anyone else for the tantrum is ridiculous.
Mostly true, but if you were a franchise owner and you had drafted Vince, and found all of this out, wouldn't you do everything in your power to try to get him on board? Even so far as to get him mental help? I had the same issue with the Rockets and Eddie Griffin, sometimes you just need to protect your assets a little better and go above and beyond to get the most out of them. DD
that news that he threw his stuff into the stands didn't come from fisher directly. fisher HEARD about it from someone else in the organization. i think it was reported even before fisher stated it.
