I was never on the Draft Vince Young bandwagon. However he's proven me wrong. It's starting to look like a decision that will haunt this franchise for years to come.
It's absolutely scary to think about how this Titans team is young and will only get better. Does anybody here truly believe that the Texans will win next week?
Vince would look SOOOOOO good in a Texan's uniform. Where is RIC now, you want to see one player ELEVATE the play of the entire team? Watch the Titans with Vince...everyone plays harder for him. DD
Damn you Texans. Okay, Mario, time to Rally. Texans can do this. I didn't watch the game, I dont think it was onlocal tv, but I fell asleep and all, but man, Mario knows he needs to step it up. Awesome win by Vince.
I'll definitely say that VY had an awesome game. However, this win is just as much Bironas as it is VY. VY didn't exactly lead them to victory a la Elway. He did it last week, but not this week. He had a great game, but the victory goes to Bironas.
what a great sunday for rocket fans. vince young #10 stepped up and beat NY last week (like Cassell did against the Knicks in his rookie year) vince young wins another against the colts. some dude named DEREK ANDERSEN wins the game for the Browns. hahahaha
It's possible. What intrigues me more is how the crowd reacts at the game. It's 2 weeks in a row VY has pulled out a late win. Especially if the Texans lose today and Carr doesn't play well, it could be very weird at Reliant Stadium next Sunday. On AM610 & AM790, it's gonna be "All Vince All the Time" again this week and I won't mind a bit. Maybe the game ball today goes to the kicker instead of VY. A 60 yard FG to win a game is off the charts.
as talented as he is running and passing, it is his ability to rally his team around him that makes him great. like you said, they look like a bunch of kids and this is, afterall, a game. i'm no titans fan i just admire the guy and am sickened that the titans took a flier on a hometown hero. the fact that he's already done more than carr just makes it worse.
Ric would point out the numerous mistakes committed by the Colts that cost them the game starting with that pushoff in the endzone by 86 that took 7 points off the board and forced them to settle for the field goal to tie the game. Indy gets that TD and they are up by 4 which would have forced the Titans to play for the TD in order to win the game. What Ric, Kubiak, McNair et. al. will never admit is that Vince has re-energized the Titans and that they as a team are playing inspired football while the Texans under Carr are a team going through the motions on the road to nowhere.
I'll give Bironas more of the credit, and I will admit VY is a work in progress, but they hadn't beaten the Colts since 02. He's 5-4 as a starter with two losses by one point (one against Indy). Not bad. I still think they are one of the least talented teams in the league, especially at the skill positions.
Watching Chaz Casserole extoll the greatness of Vince Young on the CBS postgame show makes me sick to my stomach.
