Nobody is saying he isnt a good person...just saying he isnt a good NFL quarterback. Which is pretty much the truth.
So - you think Carr and Young are remotely similar threats on the ground? If you're a defensive coordinator, you would scheme for the two the same right? Anyway, let's do a little study in expectations and standard setting, seems like you were happy about this kind of statline back then, provided the QB just wins
Sam, you're the master of shifting the topic around and diverting attention from yourself and your own argument. I am in awe. Sheer awe. Yep, and I was dead-ass wrong. Carr sucked and my expectations were way too low for him. Care to change yours for Vince so you don't end up looking like me? Just so you know, I believe (this was 4-5 years ago, so uh, forgive me if my memory is hazy) this post was meant to describe what would end up causing the Texans to keep Carr around, not what *I* would want him to do in order to feel justified in keeping him around. But that said, my expectations for him were still too low. I defended him because I felt that Vince was not the answer, moreso than I felt that David was the right guy, which in retrospect was a dumb stance to take. Suck on top of suck makes super suck. In the end it worked out, so I'm happy about that much, even if I did end up driving that Carr right off the cliff. But yeah, back on topic. The Titans post-2005 QB play = average at best.
Who the hell is LOUIS Bulluck?! Is he related to former Titan and current Giant KEITH Bulluck by any chance?
VY is playing very well today and really other than steelers game has had over a 100 qb rating in every game.
Guess who leads the nfl in passer rating? Here's a hint it ain't peyton, brees, brady or rivers. No I am not saying he is better than those guys, and I know he is hurt. But it's still pretty cool for a guy a lot of people consider a scrub.
Did you guys see the post game interview with Manning on the field? He talked about how great his defensive ends are and how he doesn't get to face them except in practice, and how much it sucked for Schaub, and Gerrard, and Collins. Not exactly sure what we can pick out from that. Actually, I'm pretty sure.
What was Vince mad about? Was he pulled in the game or something? Apparently stormed outta there afterwards.
@jwyattsports #titans qb vince young abruptly left lp field @jwyattsports #titans young left lp field with safety michael griffin chasin after him @jwyattsports Incident happened before locker room was open for reporters and before fisher talked to reporters #titans @jwyattsports Young clearly upset as he left stadium. Vince Young era in Tenn. appears to be over. The #Titans QB tossed his shoulder pads into the crowd & left the stadium after being removed. http://twitter.com/ProFootballWkly
Who would trade for him? I can't see any NFL team that has a QB situation that desperate that would give up something of real quality for him. Maybe a team like the Eagles gets him to learn under Vick, but even then... he can't do the things Vick does.
I would be pissed too if I was VY and had a coach who refused to believe in me. Fisher refused to start him even when healthy last week and had to put him in when Collins got injured. If he was healthy enough to come in as a backup, he shouldve been starting. Not sure how serious his thumb injury was, but if he was able to play, I wouldnt be shock if Fisher refused to put him back in.
