People here admit to wanting VY and the freakin Titans to win a championship on a Houston professional sports fansite. These same guys would become Jazz fans if VY somehow could choose an NBA career and was drafted by Utah. So screw em. I don't have to respect that.
So what if the Lakers were our heated rivals? I was a Rudy T. fan when he was here. I was never a VY fan. I have nothing to do with UT.
That's fine, but I'm just a Texan fan who feels like picking VY at #1 would have been a HUGE mistake. I love the guy but I just don't feel like his skills will translate to the NFL in the long term. I think he'll be an OK quarterback, but I don't think passing on him will haunt the Texans forever like some here seem to think. I also don't think that my feelings about him make me a "hater". Like I said, it has nothing to do with where he went to high school or college. I'll bet there are more people who feel this way than you think.

I'm curious would you UT guys still root for Vince and Houston fanatics still root for the guy if he was cowboy??? I realized yesterday that might hate for the Cowboys is much greater than the Titans. Any others feel that way? Hypothetically, If Vince would have attended Texas Tech and won a national title and was drafted by the Titans. I would have been like this %#%#%#^# sucks but I hope he does well as long as he is not playing the Texans but if he was drafted by the cowboys I think I would just think screw him now.
I don't really understand the Cowboy hatred. IMO hatred of the Titans is much more warranted since they have a direct relationship to Houston, a very negative one at that. The Cowboys are in a totally different conference, so it doesn't really directly affect us if they're doing well, I mean of course Cowboy fans get really vocal around Houston, but other than that, good for em. I completely understand people becoming Titan fans because VY plays there. Why? Because whereever Kevin Kolb goes I will instantly become their biggest fan. (unless its the titans)
agreed. if you were an oiler fan you hate the cowboys, plain and simple. and as for the titans, well yes, bud is a POS but they were the oilers. their histories are intertwined for better or worse.

cowboys aren't a division rival, they're worse, a dallas team, and worse a dallas team that even some houstonians roots for.
Cowboys fans have an obscenely large unwarranted arrogance about them that makes me want to defecate on everything they hold dear. I don't particularly care about what happens to the Cowboys and if their non-Dallas fans would just shut the %#@ up then I'd wish them all the best. It is similar to the malice I feel for a specific class of Yankees fans. I know several people from New York who are fans of the Yankees and they are fine people, and I wish them and their team well. It's just all the morons from around the country who are so insecure that they can only root for the team with the most natural advantages and who then parade around like dogs in heat and act like they have somehow earn some sort of specialness when those advantages express themselves that I can't stand. There is a serious psychological insecurity that is being expressed by these braying morons in the abandonment of their natural affinities and the way in which they seek self-aggrandizement by glomming on to some perceived ‘winner’ expressed as 'America's Team'. Their insecurities show in their constant need to parade in front of everybody with the demand to be told how pretty they are. Psychiatric pathology is always ugly.
I guess I went astray spending more time rooting for teams I support than finding reasons to hate other teams. I suck!
when it comes to sports, any franchise not named Houston in the state of Texas should be hated. it's the same reason, i don't care for UT, A&M or any other Texas college. that's just me.
