By the way... How come Todd never seems to hold their baby? At the convention and after the appearances I've seen, It's always the daughters holding the kid and Mom swoops in for a few moments and then hands the kid off to one of the daughters. I can't think of anytime I've seen Todd holding the kid by himself. I could be wrong, and probably am... but watching the post debate feed last night it didn't look like he wanted anything to do with the kid. (Mrs. rimrocker vocalized it before I could form the thought.)
My wife and I noticed the same thing too...neither parent ever has him....very strange. You would think the parents would be the ones holding and caring for their baby, especially at this early age of infancy..... DD
Actually it is not at all a part of politics, it is what I noticed as a PARENT..... I think we view things in that manner....I find it odd that the parents of Trigg are not the ones holding him. As if it were me or my wife, we would be the ones holding him....almost all the time. DD
I'm not the guy who are most keen on politics or watching a lot of cable news, but I've seen multiple times the father holding the baby, as well as the mom. I'll just cite one occasion EVERYONE has seen it: During the REP national convention, Cindy McCain was holding the baby until the speech begins, then it's Todd holding, until he needed to stand up. He handed the baby to the little girl. Don't say you haven't seen it, you don't remember because politics makes you blind and want to think the other side is a lesser person than you.
I have seen that, but holding him one time for a very short amount of time is not what I am talking about.....the fact that they are playing hot patato with the baby...IS...what I am talking about. For my wife and I ......we would not be passing the baby around.....he would be cared for by us.....more than just ONE time......you could pretty much flip what has happened, instead of looking for the ONE time that Todd held the baby...you would be looking for the ONE time...neither of us did. DD
Hehe, where have you been? there's simply no "out of proportion" on D&D. I'm just enjoying different reaction of politics from people.
Just holding you true to your own words, that's all. You speak like you follow candidates around, not just for a few moments on TV screen.
I think what fascinates me the most about this is that I was sort of thinking about it but would have probably dismissed it as a fleeting thought, but my wife clearly picked up on it. Looks like DaDa's wife did as well.
Yeah, it's your privilege to nitpick on person on TV as if you follow them 100% of the time and see 5% of the time.
True, but that is the only time we do see them. Let's make a game out of it, and see how often the parents hold Trigg. Or if both parents are at an event...where is Trigg? Honestly, that is a question that has come up a lot in our neighborhood groups. No one has a problem with Todd raising the baby, but if Todd and Sarah are on the campaign trail...then who is there caring for the baby? It gets asked a lot at our neighborhood block parties etc. My answer is always....the GrandParents, but I really do not know. I think you would be shocked by the number of Moms who say they would never run for VP because of having a new born, especially one with special needs. I think this is one of the hidden reasons that Palin's stock is falling so fast with women, but no one wants to ask about the elephant in the room. DD
