She got the name wrong. (But it did start with the letter "M") Biden didn't even try because he didn't know it either so didnt say any name.
Not so fast jefe ! She is not someone I want in Washington, not yet, and not in a time of crisis. Biden came across to me as knowledgeable and as down to earth as Palin. DD
If we live in a country where our potential VP gets a "net plus" for exceeding her less-than-acceptable expectations, then what real hope do we have? But then again, I see the general populous of the U.S. sympathizing with and congratulating Palin for not falling flat on her face. In my opinion, she didn't really exceed my expectations because, half the time, she wasn't even answering the question. *Exaggeration Incoming* What is your stance on same sex marriages? Palin: Well...how about we talk about energy?
Where's the question: Is Palin qualified to be VICE president, the position she's actually running for?
The VP has to be ready to step in......so it is a valid question. And what was really scary was her position that the VP was part of the legislative branch...like Cheney has been contending? HUH? Not by a long shot. DD
watching these debates and seeing Biden say the opposite of what he said in previous ones A FEW MONTHS AGO makes me sick and hope these fools have enough combined brain power and honor to actually pass the bailout measure.
No, FoxNews just said on the lovely ( ) Hannity and Colmes, that the Fox polls were: Palin - 86% Biden - 12% Undecided - 0%
"Drill, baby, drill! The gay men in this great, great nation are ready and willing to serve as a natural, abundant, fungible energy source."
as did 72 other senators, but that doesn;t do anything and if you watch any CSPAN today they are not very close.
Biden definitely humanized himself a lot better than I expected. Palin's one liners got really stale near the end, "say it ain't so, joe".. "there you go again"... seriously? "There you go again?" You're so dumb you can't even come up with your OWN debate zingers, you have to steal them from past politicians? Man... America is sick of these phony yokels trying to dupe them. The McCain ticket is dead, and Sarah Palin will make a welcome addition to the political graveyard.
Yeah, that was one of two sweet opportunities that Biden actually took advantage of competently. (1) Tie the GOP ticket to Cheney and his abuse of the constitution and abuse of power. (2) When he went on his "I haven't heard..." litany. That was solid. Overall, Palin is was we thought she was: as slippery and evasive as the most long-time Washington politician you could want. When she can name the talking points, regardless of the question, she will always do pretty well, in terms of sounding inspiring and likable. Policy won't be her strong suit, I'd predict.
No the point is, CNN viewers lead to the left, and Fox News viewers leans to the right.........so citing polls to the fact is useless.............
*cough*Fox News*cough* This has probably been seen by most of you, but it never gets old: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTkqosRiyYo
You make an interesting point What will become of Sarah Palin if McCain Loses? Still govenor of Alaska . .. does she get reelected? maybe move to the SenatE? If he wins? Unless he dies in office. . . .Do you think she'd be running for president? [McCain goes 8 years. . . will she be the republican nominee in 2016?] Rocket River
I have seen it and agree, but we can list numerous print and tv that are definitely on the other side, so be fair............
