Agreed. She didn't fall on her face which is what many expected. But Biden still won and went through stretches where he absolutely creamed Palin and McCain.
It's amazing those that support Obama, think Biden won. Those that support McCain think Palin won.............even on this board, I can't believe that. Unfairly due to expectations, Palin probably won. It's interesting, these different "focus" groups seem to think Palin won, for what thats worth............not much in my opinion.
I may have misheard something early on in the debate but did Palin refer to working with Al-Maliki and the Taliban? I was getting a beverage at that moment and thought that's what I heard. I could be wrong.
NBC news is saying that Palin killed, and keep going on about how well she did. With the expectations so low it may have worked to her advantage.

Ron Paul (R) guy here.. if you think Palin even came close to formulating a single frickin coherent thought, you either didn't watch the debate or you're just too blinded by your political bias.. Biden laid the smack down on several occasions, he made sense every time he opened his mouth, and he was balanced and rational.. Palin talked about "soccer moms" and hit up a shout out to her homies up in the A!
Let's go under the assumption that Palin "met expectations" for this debate and that it somehow means that she won. That may be the case, and it probably re-energized parts of her base, but that completely discounts Biden's performance, which was quite strong.
Most people were prepared for an epic disaster from Palin. Palin didn't perform well at all, but she wasn't a disaster. Biden still outperformed her with ease. Palin did better than expected, so that equals a win for Palin. What kind of cuckoo logic is that?
Scooby and the Globetrotters is always a surefire win. If she made any reference to that then she won!

She did very well to assure her main target of voters, she didn't sound like an idiot, she just did what politicians do, change the topic when required. That's all she had to do to be, now lets see if the damage she already did was too much to make up. Though I think America is about second chances so she'll be given the benefit of the doubt, also people are generally not looking for someone way better than they are, they are looking for someone to relate to, in those terms she did very well.
