Nothing says mid life crisis like arguing about how old you aren’t. BTW, I hear they have great rates on used Corvettes right now.

I teach 19-year-olds and I'd say the exact opposite: these teens are some of the first people to have the internet throughout their lives. They are totally immersed like we never will be, and they have no alternative frame of reference.

We old dudes grew up without internet, and we do have a frame of reference. We had a different relation to the world, to the outdoors, to other people, to animals and nature, to our own bodies, and of course to the media. We can survive for hours without looking at a cell phone.

It is well established that social media is depressing. We old dudes didn't have a youth full of Kim Kardashian and Donald Trump. Now we look at this **** and call it ****. For teens, it's simply reality.

‘What are we so afraid of?’
Tony Green, on dismissing, denying, contracting and spreading the coronavirus

When President Trump got sick, I had this moment of deja vu back to when I first woke up in the hospital. I know what it’s like to be humiliated by this virus. I used to call it the “scamdemic.” I thought it was an overblown media hoax. I made fun of people for wearing masks. I went all the way down the rabbit hole and fell hard on my own sword, so if you want to hate me or blame me, that’s fine. I’m doing plenty of that myself.

That's a very sad story, with some good details in it. Still, the six-person family event is not what most experts worry about. Very sad in that respect, that these close family members had a spreading event just by hanging out for one weekend. :(

Some of these people will contract Covid and some will likely die, and for what? To go worship a politician?

    Yes, very sad story.

It speaks to how easy and fast it spread and that everyone should treat covid seriously, especially so if you do plan to have even small gathering of friend and family. I’m sure this guy wished he read that story of someone else and I believe that’s why he wrote it after seeing the potus again downplaying it.
