Hey, thanks for starting this thread: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...ential-primary-election-fraud-probe-heats-up/
Yeah, it's crazy. The GOP and FOX always tries to make the case that groups that favor Democrats are out there committing fraud, but it always falls through and turns out it never is actually voter fraud. The whole ACORN thing and stuff blew up in their faces. Now when there is actual fraud and real conviction, it involves Republicans and we don't hear too much about it from that were raising the false alarm on ACORN etc.
You must have missed these paragraphs... That seems more concrete than questionable signatures on a petition. I'll follow the rest of the story though.
If you want to educate yourself on voter fraud, read the book "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy", by Greg Palast. Tells the true behind-the-scenes story of what happened in Florida in 2000, and gives you an idea of how these things continue to occur.
Nobody should be going to jail for a voter fraud that amounts to just 1 vote. Registering at the wrong address, registering when you are not eligible, or even voting with 1 vote when you aren't allowed -- that's all ticky tack stuff that cannot change an election (simple counting errors have more impact). That should be nothing more than a fine. I can see giving someone jail for knowingly casting multiple ballots. But over just one vote, jail time is far too harsh.
