It wont matter, it'll still be blacked out in the Houston area. The only perk is being able to watch the 2am rerun.
This is true because CSN Houston owns those rights and NBATV usually just uses the broadcasts from one of those teams, which will either be CSN Houston or Time Warner for Lakers.
What I found interesting was NBA TV making use of JLin as the rep for Rockets against Kobe - I guess they never received Morey's memo that JHarden was to be face of the team? Or maybe someone at NBA TV is a LOF ;-)
NBA TV will be showing the Lakers @ Rockets game next Tuesday. Hopefully the Rockets are playing well enough to get the Fan Night game again on the 15th against the Clippers. Two weeks in a row would be great. http://www.nba.com/nbatv/fannight/
Lin has led an underdog team in the Knicks to beat the hot Lakers single-handedly with 38 points for himself last season. When has Harden done this against the Lakers?
Nothing surprising. Just look at our CF poll about favorite player. Harden is the best player...but the best player isn't necessarily the most popular or even the most famous. If you want to fill arenas or hype a team up, you use the player that people like and want to see the most.
I was shocked at first but I think this is Marketing twist. They want the fan to come and see can "Lin scores another 38 points against the Lakers?" It is a business!
ei... is the voting stopped already? I go to the site . . . there is no vote icon or anything to click. I wanted to make sure that we get the fan night locked.
