Gotta love this line: Why Kacy wants to be a Power Dancer: Well if Dancing complete's her...................she can give me a LAP DANCE ANYTIME!
Jennifer's other pictures are better than the main one. Same with Stephanie. I voted for Jennifer becuase she looks cute in the face and is the ONLY one that doesn't have pudge around her belly. If you look at all of Jennifer's photos, you'll see she has a decent 6-pack. Nice Stomach Cute Face
So she's not "dark" enough for you? WTF? Angelina can't dance at all. The third girl is not only gawky but also doesn't have the abs the others do, the last one can dance but has an ample ass. I find it ridiculous that you accuse others of using race as a deciding factor, THEN YOU USE IT YOURSELF! Ridiculous. Hypocrite.
How in the hell do you interpret that as racism? He clearly prefers girls with a tan as opposed to girls that are pale in color. Everyone has a preference just like some people prefer blondes or redheads or brunettes. It damn sure does not make him a racist. Get a life moron.
Angelita cant dance ... thats just horrible. "Power" dancers.. but she has no kinda power in her dance routine. I wil go with the last one just because her dance can bring energy to fans : )
Listen "moron," He went off on the people who put Jennifer in the lead by accusing them of some sort of subconscious racism. In his later post he dismisses Jennifer b/c she's too white. So it's okay for him to go off and make accusations about people making their decision based on skin color, while he himself does the same f-ing thing? No, it's idiotic. It's called hypocrisy & smacks of reverse racism. This is a freaking Power Dancer competition, not a UT Law admissions council. Get over yourself.
I believe that everyone has their own preferences and vote for whoever they want to. But you didn't have to tell him to get a life... Racism...it's everywhere....cannot be prevented. Oh well. I wish it could be
Yes, I enjoyed an internet BBS poster w/ over 3,000 freaking posts telling someone to "get a life." Anyway, like I said it's a freaking Power Dancer competition - c'mon now. I liken it to those people who accuse Drayton McClane & Gerry Hunsicker of being "subconsciously racist" b/c there aren't any black players on the 'stros...
Crash, thank you. RocketBurrito, it is far from reverse racism. yes, i do like women with some color to them. you know, a tan. or even a naturally dark color (like olive-toned, brown, or black). all i said was that "i am wondering how many people voted for jennifer (on a subconscious level at least) because she's the whitest girl on there. i mean, there is NO WAY you can argue for her being nearly the prettiest, nor the most talented." IOW, IMO, she is not even close to being the prettiest girl on there, yet somehow is leading in votes. of course, it's probably a personal preference thing. some people probably voted for her because she's a blonde. some because has the biggest funbags. but i honest to god cannot see how someone can look at those women and pick her as the prettiest. JUST MY OPINION. and i wondered how much of it was based on an affinity for white women, regardless of the beauty of the other "contestants". nothing wrong with that, if it's true. in that case it's their personal preference. i just can't see it. but hey, what difference does it really make......
ok, I know I'm no Brad Pitt, but damn, if your going to be a Power Dancer, shouldn't you hit the gym a little and tone up... I voted for Angelita
yes, now back to the voting... i don't care if she can't dance, i don't watch the ones that can dance anyway--i watch the ones that look gooooooooood!
All I have to say about the race issue is, I dont care what SKIN color you are (Blcak, White, Caramel, Green, Orange etc....) All I care about is the shape of the body. IF its FINE, its gonna be MINE. And who says Dark girls aren't or can't be Hot? This Girl is Dark, but I would do her in a second. I'm sure EVERY guy in house would AGREE with me on that.
in the immortal words of shaft, "you damn right!" there's just something about a woman with a good, warm, healthy looking skin tone. very...umm...arousing. it's for this reason that i don't generally like overly pale women. to me they appear nutritionally deficient. of course, there are exceptions...namely portia de rossi.
I think the issue alluded to by RB regards the statement 'there is NO WAY you can argue for her being nearly the prettiest'. In addition, espousing that you 'cannot come to any other conclusion' precludes what you later defaulted into by chalking it up to a 'personal preference thing'. The tenor of your initial posts could be construed as dismissing any other aesthetic preferences if they didn't conform with what you personally preferred. That, apparently, in conjunction with an inference of a racial undertones, drew RB's ire. The ambiguity stems from this -- if her receiving votes for being the 'whitest' was simply a comment on her skin tone, then no problem. It's the inverse equivalent of preferring 'tanned' or darker skin. I think RB possibly misinterpreted that ambiguous statement as a racial comment, not simply a comment on pigment. The bottom line is people have their own preference for what is aesthetically pleasing to them. Granted, some people's beauty casts a wider net than others (Vida Guerra *probably* has more admirers than, say, Bea Arthur), but everyone makes a surface-level valuation based on what *they* perceive (whatever that means) as attractive. Crash had it right when he said some prefer blondes, redheads, brunettes, etc... However, to be consistent, we can't arbitrarily mock or discount someone's preference yet trumpet our own as gospel. Saying there is 'NO WAY' you can conclude justifying voting for her may come off as perceptively myopic. We should all be open to *everyone's* preferences. Very rarely will unanimity preside when discussing something as subjectively diverse as 'attractiveness'.
jlaw, i see what you're saying, and i agree to a large extent. the only thing i will add is: notice i didn't say "because she was the only white girl there". i said the "whitest" girl there....meaning tone, not necessarily race. in fact, i followed that with a comment about her needing to mix in some sunshine or a tan. although, in all fairness, i did say (in a later post) "an affinity for white women". i probably should have rephrased. "whiter" women would have worked better. at that point, however, i thought i was pretty clear and that only RB was misconstruing my thoughts...
