I wasn't aware I visited a Dallas board. Nor do I have any recollection of owning one. What random stuff are you going to pull out of your @ss next?
No one hates Shane, we're just telling you -- in relative unison, it seems -- that he's NOT All-Star material, and that there are much, much, much more deserving players that should get a chance to be on the team. It's one thing when Dirk makes it over Brand or Boozer, but if any of them miss it for Battier, then it's yet another "black-eye" for the league. Nothing against Battier, but he's a bona fide role player, which is good since we need role players in this league (we know all about role players contributing to championships here in Houston).
Thanks for the post RedRowdy111. I always vote for all of the Rockets on the All Star ballot. Some people see the All Star vote as only those "deserving" to make the team should be voted for. Others vote for their favorite players. I am of the later group. I will vote multiple times a day for Yao, T-Mac, Scola, and Battier. And then pick the 6 other less deserving (or less popular) canidates so Yao and T-Mac are more likely to be top vote getters. For example: I'll vote for my Western conference team as C - Yao, F - Battier and Scola, G - T-Mac and Jarrett Jack; Eastern Conference: C - Okafor, F - Rashard Lewis and Prince, G - TJ Ford and Anthony Parker. That way it wil be one less vote for Lebron, Kobe, etc. to be top vote getters to give Yao and T-Mac a better shot at that honor. Don't be offended by the comments of others that downgrade us picking Battier for All Star. They just think of the All Star voting differently than you and I. Good job and keep up the voting!
