If a reasonable contract can be reached, sign him. Despite his shortcomings (and all players have them), he was a real asset to the team last year.

the sad thing about AI, is that he once guaranteed that he could win a title with Yao. having said that, why not? he's not a bigger risk that Artest was and cheaper too. they both over dribbled and took lot of bad shots. the difference is that T-Mac, Battier, and AI and one of Brooks/Lowry/Ariza can all play at the same time. there's NOTHING available right now at the 5 spot, so the Rockets might as well put Scola/Dorsey/Landry at the center spot and play super small and run every team out the building.

Personally, I think Von was great off the bench last season (w/ the obviously exception of mouthing off to the coach)

That said, it seems like his feelings are hurt and he doesn't want to return. So let him go.

Hide the women and children because Von Wafer is just nasty.

He is the ONLY player on the Rockets capable of that move with speed, agility and finishing.

Again, the Rockets would be stupid not to lock him up for a decent contract, he wants to play here, is an elite athlete and is finally GETTING it.....and has had success in the NBA.....not Conference USA....the NBA !

FYI, yesterday I saw a 'tweet' from Leo Rautins that the Raptors are looking at Von. They still have their MLE. I could see them looking for a scoring wing player to add to their running team. Especially after losing Parker.

Didn't they have one of the Graham brothers there?

Let's hope this is sort of like Landry in that the Rockets get a chance to match...though they don't have a RIGHT to match, if Von wants to stay, maybe he stays for the same or slightly better contract in Houston.

Joey Graham is still there. But he has been disappointing. They want to resign Delfino and they just drafted Derozan.

Might be good news in that it breaks the log jam. Von gets an offer on the table and Morey decides to match or not match. If the $ value is the same I think he stays in Houston, he's from LA, played in FL why would play in the cold of Toronto and pay the taxes up there. Don't know about Colangelo, paying that kind of money for Hedo and letting Marion go for less, he may give Von most of the MLE.

Von is a ufa meaning out the kindness of his heart would morey be given a chance to match. If I wasw von, I might just go to toronto for say a 3 yr 6m deal because he could start even with derozen being drafted. Von on a team with Calderon,Bosh,Hedo, and Bargiani would be a very good offensive team.

Leeb, Morey hasn't lost anyone he really wanted, and I believe that he really wants Von, but is down talking him to try to get him cheaply.

I think Von is better than most people here believe, and will only get better...to me, the Rockets do not have another player on their roster with his set of offensive skills, including, speed and athleticism.

Players that are that quick, and finally have found themselves do not fall from trees....

To me, if Von was in this year's draft he would have been a top 3 pick......

IMO, they HAVE to resign him......and I hope Morey doesn't screw it up and let him go....

Come on DD don't overrate his ass either. Yeah he is a good player but there are a few things that would keep him from being in the top 10. He is only a scorer and nothing else.

The difference is that he is a PROVEN NBA scorer, where all the NCAA guys coming out are HOPEFUL that they can make an impact.

I was taking that into account when saying he would be a top pick.

I believe that Von is our first round draft choice THIS year.....if they sign him.

First round, yes, but top 3. At least be realistic.

Have you watched James Harden's game? I think he has superstar potential, maybe next Roy.
