He was disappointing in the playoffs. Very disappointing. I expected a lot out of him, but he was completely taken out by Vujacic.

I don't know whether we should be throwing out all our money just to resign this guy. Is it possible that Morey is playing this out like Landry? Lowballing Wafer until a team makes an offer and Morey matches it in hopes that Wafer will come to us for old times sakes.

Von is not a cancer, he just wants more minutes, which is at least better than T-slack.

Wilcox works out at the business/athletic club at which I work at during the summer with John L's summer camp. So, you never know what that could imply.

I WOULD HAVE HOPED HE WOULD HAVE SIGNED WITH THE ROCKETS BUT WE DONT NEED HIM TRACY IS GOING TO REPLACE HIM IN A JIFFY. NOW I KNOW SOMEONE MENTIONED WILCOX WHICH WOULD BE A HEAVENS MATCH BUT CANT WE AFFORED HIM OR IS HE WILLING TO PLAY 4 TWO YEARS AT A REASONABLE PRICE, OTHERWISE IT HAS TO BE A SIGN AND TRADE.

I think Chase has made the team..easy...and Taylor will too because they spent $2 million to get him....White is gone, and Von is on the fence.

Do us a favor and lose the caps, dude. ^^^

I think Von's going to be sitting on a fence in another city.

On the court, or when he was taken out of the game?

Here's a simple fill-in-the-blanks sentence you can use every summer to determine the value of players like National Lampoon's Von Wafer:

If ______________ is so good, why have ___ teams in ___ years decided he wasn't worth a roster spot?

There's a reason guys like wafer never really catch on, despite their athletic gifts.

Brilliant signing by PHX. Another guy to decrease Steve Nash's quality of life.

So it's inconceivable that he's improved since he was let go by those other teams? That's interesting, because the production he gave us last year suggests otherwise. And you do realize he's only 23 years old, younger than both Brooks and Landry?

When you want more minutes and you're oblivious to the fact that it's to the detrimant of the team, it's time for you to go. I watched so many games last season where Von was given a chance in important minutes and he made crucial mistake after crucial mistake.

There's a reason he wasn't given more minutes, you couldn't depend on him to make the right plays at the right time. He is your classic feast or famine player.

All possibly true. Thats all his ON-COURT stuff, which I/we tend to look at along with his numbers.

This board, goes without saying, helps shed some light on the behind the scenes stuff, the BACKGROUND of a player we dont see. Most indications point to him being a little uncoachable and petulent. Not good traits going into the exit interview.

You'd think Daryl Morey would be up for bringing back a diamond in the rough at a cheap price attained out of his own Moneyball style. Just to show off his wares. As we saw with Landry and Gortat, we know Morey sets a price on a player's worth and is almost unwavering from that amount. And is patient to let negotiations drag. Though to ME, the fact Morey hasn't done hardly anything with Wafer is pretty telling....

Gotta say people here are high on Budinger and Taylor even though they have done nothing yet on the court.

Losing a proven scorer is going to hurt. Especially when you dont have any scorers on the team anyway.

Any new news on this rumor?

It better not be true, the Rockets need a guy like Von. He came up big for us last year when Tracy went out. I would love for Von to replace Tracy.
