This is the key statement. Do any of you think Morey would have let Von go if there wasn't good reason? I don't.

Apparently that Twitter account was shut down, so I have no idea if that's even a credible rumor or not. That makes the size of this thread even more comical.

That would be too much common sense. You see people here that barely understand the salary cap making comments about how Morey screwed up. How many of you knew Andersen was on the way here? How many of you knew Ariza was coming here? How many of you know what's going on behind the scenes right now? My guess is that 99.99% of you don't. I sure as heck don't and I'm no salary cap expert. In this day and age you can't bash teams blindly for the decisions they make without knowing all the crap going on behind the scenes and also on their ledger.

Trust me, nobody on this board knows what's going on behind the scenes and on the Rockets' books as much as Morey does, so until he continually makes dunderhead moves, I have faith in the man. We many not get the best players available, but I have faith it won't be because we have an idiot running the show. If Von goes, he goes... if he stays, he stays... whatever. If he leaves and becomes a superstar, I'll be ticked for sure. If he leaves and is stuck in mediocrity or is an average player, I won't care.

Von Wafer is better than Tracy and Ariza put together.

    Ariza 1 + Tracy 3 = Von 13.

    See that right there...

We need to re-sign this guy.

Mostly radio, I used to listen to them on my clock radio, and chart the score. We also went to a fair amount of games.

Also the Houston Aeros games too.....with Gordie Howe and sons.

LOL - what part of the two posts above where you explain in detail that the Rockets are in "win now" mode, thus justifying the trade for Battier (which you were bragging abut supporting in this very thread as a sign of your acumen) do you find "out of context"

    - are you saying that I fabricated them?

    - or are maybe you put a Borat-esque "......NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" at the end of the post that I deleted?

That ain't what happened - you didn't grasp onto the fiction that the Rockets (4th playoff seed, 52-30 ) were "rebuilding" until after the season when your hairy Aegean man-crush was whining his way out of the NBA, necessitating your version of revisionist history.

Oh - and let me say, the subject of the thread, a stupid fake twitter post on Von Wafer - who cares where he goes in fake twitter land? I don't.

Is that where the good Bizarro Spanoulis plays?

Who wins between a Lebron-like Streetball (btw, I like Radio as well) and the T-mac of Greece in fake twitter land?

Philosophers may ponder that for generations....

DD, you only need look at the playoffs to see how much or should I say how little they thought of Wafer. As desperately as they needed help at the 2 with battier being overworked and Artest stinking up the place on offense they chose Lowry to play more minutes at the 2 than Wafer. Wafer averaged 3 points and 0 assists and rebounds in the 3 victories. On a team lacking bodies the coach chose to play an undersized point guard at the 2 over Wafer! That says it all.

Clearly they don't think as highly about Wafer as you do. Just look at the millions they could have used to pay for him that they spent on draft picks that play his position. How about the full MLE they spent on Ariza. Are the 2 year contract they signed White to when Wafer was contributing. Could it be possibly be they saw more potential in the untested White than Mohawk Wafer. That might be the answer right. Wafer has not shown a desire to develop his game outside of his 1 dimensional offensive burst.

It is all about matchups, but you make a good point.

I think he has developed but if he goes, he goes.....I just think he will get a lot better.
