In fact, Dorsey is a quite good passer and shot blocker as well. I really hope he can contribute this season.

Wafer played a good game and helped his team really well. But there is no reason he shouldn't start, he is the best player on that team. Maybe that wasn't there real starting lineup.

Man, Von in this years version of the Rockets would really excel. 3pt range, quick first step, driving ability, athleticism, etc. He would be a better playmaking prospect than Ariza since neither are great ballhandlers but Wafer's skillset is better suited than Ariza's for playmaking.

That's what I was thinking, he was a big part of our offense even when we had Yao.

And @ BrownBeast, Morey made a big mistake by wasting money on Taylor. He should have used that money to give Wafer a good deal.

    Von Wafer is an idiot.

Rejecting an offer from the Houston Rockets and then demanding more money will NOT land you a job in the NBA.

Especially when everyone on national TV saw you get manhandled by Rudy Fernandez and Sasha Vujacic.

Unless I forgot, did we sign Taylor for more than 1 mill?

Von didn't want the min. and we offered him WAY more than what we signed JT for.

so "@BrownBeast" should have found out how much we offered JT.

He was barely getting offered anything when he contributed a ton to our injury-ridden team. In the regular season when he was a starter especially against LA he really shined.

I thought he played pretty good in the playoffs except 2 or 3 games.

Our offense is gonna miss everything he brought last year.

The money we used to buy the Taylor pick didn't count against the cap. Von was asking for too much money. Taylor is getting paid the minimum with a non-guaranteed contract.

He's talking about the money spent by Les to buy the 2nd round pick where Taylor was drafted.

We did pay a lot to get that pick but it doesn't count against the salary cap, only Taylor's actual salary does. Paying Wafer what he wanted(or a little less) would put us in luxury tax hell which would not be worthwhile considering we are not a contending team. I just wish we could've somehow kept him because he would help this team A LOT but Cook's excess salary was preventing that from happening.

Okay well we still should have found some way to pay the money Von deserves.

we are paying Taylor $750,000 a year. We are paying Budinger about the same. link

that's about 1.5 mil for two players, one of which has be the darling of the preseason so far(C-Bud).

Wafer wanted more than 2 mill. to stay.

I loved Wafer but I'll take small salary rookies that we can develop over a player that had a good year and now wants to get paid.

Wafer is only 24, he has a ton of time to develop also. I just think we should have found some way to sign him. I loved what he brought to our team.

And yet the rockets are always looking for theese type.....we're even lacking in this department this upcoming season, so either what i quoted isnt true or the rockets have horrible scouts.

Von should still be here. he wouldve been cheaper than Ariza who isnt worth the money he's getting.

I finally watched the games and Ariza has looked horrible and he doesnt even look to be a good finisher aroundthe basket especailly in traffic, which von was.

what are you talking about? any player wouldve done the samew thing if in von's position.
Landry did, and best believe scola and brooks will do the same next season.

NBA is a bussiness and these players got get thiers why they can
