This is kind of bad, but if Ron, Yao and Brooks can all pick up their scoring back to the usual averages and maintain their defense, we might still should be able to put the Blazers away tonight.

Personally, I wouldn't mind keeping him on ice tonight, rather then risk further injury. Because we will definitely need Wafer's offense off the bench when we head to LA.

If Barry is put in, I have a feeling it'll be Lowry chasing Rudy all over the place. Brent will die out there if hes up against Rudy.

Will Von be our Wills Reed?

On a side note, back spasms can be crippling. Ask me how I know. :(

Time for James White to show us what he's made of, this is exactly why White is there. If and when Wafer went down, White was his insurance.

I was thinking this last night as Denver took care of business:
    Denver vs Nawlins: 4-1
    Dallas vs Spurs: 4-1
    Lakers vs Utah: 4-1
    Rockets vs Portland: 4-?

We're the only team in the west NOT to do it in 5. Like LA needs more rest.

That is horrible news, he is the Rockets' most reliable offense off the bench, often on the team period!

Tonight is a do or die game for the Rockets. If they lose this game then get ready for yet another improbable choke job and first round exit by your home team.

Wafer is crucial for this team, more Artest is never good news.

Lose Dikembe: Yao has extra minutes and fatigue sets in, making him less effective. We also lose a big to put on Przybilla/Oden when Yao is out.

Lose Wafer: Most of our bench offense is out the window. Brent will have to step up.

    This sucks.

Our problem this entire series has been scoring.

Now we lose one of the only people on the team who can score.

    Why, God? Why us? :(

okay admittedly he shot 43 percent from 3 point range for the Sours last season...this season he is way below his career average at 37 percent...

however he was brought in as a playoff specialist and to provide veteran leadership and steadiness in the playoffs...

after all he is the only player on our roster with a ring...and he's shooting 100% from the field this series!!

It is Shane that needs to step up more than anybody on the team tonight. He needs to have a drive-2-th-hoop attitude tonight. That would be the biggest wrinkle we can add in our offense because it has never been done before, and he can do it. He never pressures the opposing defense except on his 3-pt shooting. He cuts to the basket every now and then but put some pressure on them.

Wafer brings average 8 points to the game. We can make that up. He has no defense. He just breaks down the basket. Too bad James White won't play. White can do the same.

Yes, let's do something we've never done before in a pivotal game 6. That sounds like a good plan...

What we need tonight is for Brent and Ron to step up... and GET THE BALL TO YAO CONSTANTLY!

This is where Landry will most definitely need to step it up. He has been subpar so far in this series.

A late invitee to training camp that was filling part of a hole left by a 20 million dollar no-show, and has to be replaced by an old guy who hasn't really left the bench in weeks, mind you. :p
