Good for Wafer. I enjoyed him on the Rockets most of last season, but it was time for both sides to move on. I lost all respect for the guy with his playoff meltdown. Combine that with his very low b-ball IQ and I'm not sad to see him go.
sorry but your pretty dumb to give up millions of dollars for just 2 seasons. the guy will still be young and can come back here after that. seriosly give up millions... play for what??? probably less then half the money when he has never even made close to a million dollars... have any tips on some stocks i should buy?
I would give up the money if I was extremely competitive and want to improve my game by playing against the best players in the world. I could end up making more money later on as well. I doubt Von is going to get any better playing in a lower level league.
he isn`t going to be a star or win us a championship, i don`t care if he stays or goes. good luck in europe. liked the mohawk... freak.
hahahahaha that is a good one right there. Well if it is true, it shows our GM is a smart man. He was not going to overpay for Von. No other teams made a serious offer so Morey had his market value spot on and Von and his agent didn't like it. It's like that sometimes. I think we will be just fine. McCants is still out there and I think he is a better scorer than Von. We may be able to get him for cheap come next month.
Kleiza going to Olympiakos also via Yahoo twitter: "Den FA forward Linas Kleiza has agreed to a 2-year, $12.2 million with an opt-out next year with Greece Olympiakos, a source told Y! Sports."
I'm happy for Von, hope he does great in Europe. Sadly, the writing was on the wall when we bought the second rounders that whatever Von and Ron were asking the Rockets weren't willing to dish out. Which consider both while great players are far from the well rounded players that we need to balance out things here. But I am glad that I won't have to boo him if he ever played against the Rockets after such a great year last season.
