Jason friedman was on espn radio yesterday and he basically said von has a back injury and is getting treatd for it, he said von is trying not to go under the knife to get it back and healthy... he also said morey would look at him and possibly sign him if he came back healthy...

Yep, which is why for a good while, Von won't be on the floor as a Rocket. As he is now, just like McGrady he may want to come back but it wouldn't be good for the team and Tracy's issue was he wanted back on the court "Now," when it appeared to most that he couldn't be what he was.
Sounds like he is getting ready to come back to the Rockets. Maybe 2 more weeks and he will be ready.
