He gave Dorsey one too - bust
He gave Trevor 5 years - uh...jury still out but leaning one horrible way.

    You don't hit on everything.

In regards to the facts go back and listen to the Morey interviews etc on 610 and 1560 regarding Von, many I transcribed.....if you want to know the facts.

Von got offered more money, can't blame him for taking it, nor the Rockets for not going over what they were willing to pay.

I don't know, wasn't in the room, just know Morey said they offered him a deal, what he says is good enough for me.

He also said they are keeping tabs on him now and would discuss bringing him back when healthy.

I'm going to have to agree with DD on this one, guys. Yes, shocking, I know. ;)

Daryl Morey has stated publicly on several occasions that the Rockets wanted to bring Wafer back this season, just not at Von's initial asking price. At this point, for the prorated veteran's minimum, he would be a value signing; and Morey's obviously interested in a HEALTHY Von Wafer.

Plus, DD is remaining fairly objective about Taylor and his ability to still become a quality NBA player, even though he was drafted to be a Von replacement (I'm proud of you, DD  ). Everyone here is kidding themselves if they don't think some time with the Vipers would be anything but good for Taylor's development. He'll get a chance to get plenty of playing time and have the ball in his hands. Heck, even Aaron Brooks needed to benefit from a stint with the Vipers his rookie year.

DD, I would say, though, that Taylor is probably never going to be great playing without the ball. He's just not that type of player. Sort of like . . . VON WAFER.

Still, gotta side with you on this "debate".

and if you were in the room, you would have been yelling in DM's ear to give von a stromilesque contract!

yeah he said the same thing about rashad mccants too ;)

I can't agree with this, since DD has been calling him a bust who needs to spend the entire year with the Vipers for the past 3 months. It's only in the past 2 thread pages that's he's now backtracked and conceded that there is a remote possibility that JT has a chance to even make the league.

    Step 1. Post something stupid.
Step 2. Sign "DD" below post.
Step 3. Get called out by others for stupid post.
Step 4. Backtrack while whining about others being rude for calling him out.
Step 5. Sign "DD" below post.

    Carl Herrera's Day

Step 1. Obsessively search for new post's by DD.
Step 2. Spend 5-10 minutes thinking of how you disagree and why, then throw all logic out the window and throw text tantrum.
Step 3. Defend actions on board and in head....while searching for new posts by DD.
Step 4. Find none for now, so smear lipstick on face, lay on bed, and dream of a time you can find another post by DD.
Step 5. You get bored of waiting, so find BimaThug's old posts about the salary cap and masturbate.

There's a need to "search" for DD's posts? And it doesn't take 5-10 minutes to notice how his posts are wrong.

    Othewise, have fun.

Oh yeah, I hope we sign Wafer to a huge deal, then with all that massive cap room we have we should just go ahead and go huge and sign Bosh, Lebron, and Wade to deals this summer! Could you imagine how good we will be!!?!!?! :) :)

    Get 'er done Morey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, they are pretty sweet. But even you have to get a little creeped out by the voracity Carl defends and pumps them. I feel like he has a poster sized print out on his wall above comp., just praying someone mentions something that does not compute.

Not my fault or BimaThug's that guys like DD don't post anything worth defending or pumping. I'd pump anything worth pumping.

And by the way, I pump my own posts more than I do BimaThug's, in much more creepy ways than you'd imagine, too. Thanks.

Why is everyone tripping on Backstabber? Look, backstabber know about hoops. He's passionate about players and his beliefs even if they're wrong. Sometimes he's right andwill let you know a million times. He's obsessed with mcgrady, but he's not the only one. In general, he's always courteous andrespectful and no matter if you agree or not, thats what this board used to be about. I don't agree with alot of stuff he says, just like Bima and i used to disagree on alot of stuff, but the phrase, "we'll agree to disagree" has been used alot between us and its all good. The yelling in big fronts and the childish nature of some of this board have brought down the quality of this board. If you don't like what a poster is saying, state your case ever how many times you like, just show some respect, thats all.

I would still trade Yao for Bosh right now!

since Von Wafer took his physical today and depending on the results, is it possible the Houston Rockets can sign him. it would be nice to have him back in a Houston Rockets uniform.

No, it appears that Von is not coming to the Rockets in the near future. Maybe later at a date to be determined? This thread needs to be locked.
