Disagree entirely. Wafer is the far superior player when compared with Mr. "I can't dribble or shoot with my left hand" Taylor. Why do you think he is so ineffective whether he plays against summer league players much less even the NBA cellar dwellers?

JT sucks, he is not an NBA player, he is clueless out there on offense and defense.

He needs some serious seasoning in the D-league...

I agree he looks lost but he doesn't suck. He gets after on the defensive end has good quick feet.

Arguably the most athletic player on the team, can shoot.

He;s just learning to let the game come to him. He's just a rookie bro.

Gerald Green was athletic too, as was Kirk Snyder.

JT...is raw.....and not quick enough to get by NBA players like he did in C-USA....

He is not even close to ready....

Yeah, DD, where is the result of this private physical you took for Wafer, shouldn't it be out already?

He plays hard when out on the court though, got to give him that. He's not ready yet...just be patient with the guy.

Remember Brooks was in the same boat his rookie season too.

Morey saw something that made him our first selection.

If that is true then Morey will be monitoring him for the next couple of weeks.

    Good stuff.

He isn't close to being ready. What made you change your mind about Green? You were really high on him.

I was never HIGH on him, I wanted him as a young player that MIGHT develop.

    Big difference......

Sometimes the players just don't work out, but if you can take a cheap look, then I think you do it......

The Rockets did, let him go, and they made the right move.

What more is there to say?

Why isn't this locked? Von wasn't taking a physical for the Rockets. DD jumped the gun when he read in another thread Von was getting a physical, and tried to break it as if the Rockets were bringing him in as long as he passes this physical. And much like a whole host of other topics, DD was wrong. Can we at least move this to NBA dish until it's something substantial?

I did not say he was taking a physical for the Rockets......just said he tweeted about a physical etc....and thought it MIGHT be for the Rockets.

    I even said I didn't know.....

Man....is reading even required for the interwebs these days?

    SHEESH !

You jumped the gun. I'm sorry you were wrong. Do better. Now please stop posting in your own thread so it can die - Von Wafer wasn't taking a physical for ANY team.

True, he was taking it for himself....and if you check out what the GARM is all about LTF, then you would read things like:

"Anything and everything about the Houston Rockets"

The Rockets have shown interest in him, Morey said he is following his progress and would revisit it in the future.

So....not sure what your beef is...nice try in baiting me though.....I guess I was wrong for people that can't read.

The whole point of you starting this thread was to try and break the story of Von returning to the Rockets, which you took from another poster in a different thread that alerted you to Von's twitter. And in the end, it was much ado about nothing. Take your lumps and move on.

No, the entire point was to bring more attention to it, because it was lost in a Mike Harris thread.

I credited both people in this thread that actually broke the news......

I just thought that the board would want to know...you know...Rocket fans that care about their team, and are interested enough to come in and read, speculate have some fun discussion about it.

Break the story....lol......I don't break stories, I just like to talk Rox stuff.

And Von will be a Rocket soon...I hope...

Oh, and I take plenty of lumps, some earned, some not.....some people extrapolating out their own thoughts on what I say...to the Nth degree....and then bash me over the head with their own misguided perceptions.

    But hey....whatever.....just call me lumpy.

    ;)

Twitpics are the easiest way to tell. If the pics look personal then it probably is real.
