Well, until now 82games.com has been seen as a reputable site. I guess since it does not support your argument that it is no longer reputable. My bad.

BTW, I'm thinking that AB is really averaging about 40pts a game but since I don't have Ricks notes to tell me then I can ignore all the other websites and create my own facts.

the problem is, 82games isn't supporting your argument either.

you have to understand how their system works to know that the data they provide isn't very reliable in this case. 82games parses actual game logs and creates their stats with the data they extract from them. they assign positions to players without looking at what position the players actually play.

so they decided before the season that budinger is a sf and a sf only. now when he's paired with ariza or battier he'll always be counted as the sf by their system no matter what he actually does on the basketball court.

btw: imho, budinger is the closest the rockets can get to having a sg on the court with their current roster (besides taylor). but it's pretty obvious that the rockets really don't have any real sgs in their rotation. i don't think von wafer would make a big difference, though, since he's way too one-dimensional.

82games is a legit site, let's end that right here. But the Rockets have more of a guard/wing/wing/post/post offense than a 1/2/3/4/5 offense. On Defense, Hayes usually guards the 5, Scola the 4, and so on. But any lineup that features Bud and Ariza/Battier will have Bud guarding the weaker of the other teams wings. On offense, Budinger is closer to a 2 than Ariza or Battier.

Instead of starting Von, I would rather start Chase. Von seems like the guy you go to on the bench. If he plays the same way as before (passing and movement) then he prob wouldn't pit in that well with the starters. Carl currently or 6th man but it doesn't hurt to have two. As for Trevor....let's put him somewhere behind Brian Cook in terms of rotation. Hopefully Von will be back on this team!

c'mon von, i'm praying for your return.

give trevor 20 minutes a game MAX please, and that can happen with cbud + von at the 2 forcing adelman to use them when ariza struggles, which is every game basically.

    What? Really?

Even if his one dimension is a contrast to our other one dimensional players in Trevor and Battier?

    right?

Basketball is a simple game. You want to put the ball in the basket more than the other team. When you can get a guy who puts the ball in the basket at an efficient rate you grab him.

Only on this BBS can an efficient, aggressive SG be looked at as a bad thing.

Just by people who are more worried about things that don't really matter, or have been worked out.

Anyone with basketball knowledge can see that he would be an asset to the team.

You might say he's a one of a kind player.

DD, be careful. I'm pretty sure the judge would say that's violating the restraining order Von has on you. And be sure to stay 100 yards away from him...

I would say that, and the team needs his "One of a kind" abilities....

But you flatter me sir, going to have to start taking notice of all the sigs I am in....I friggen OWN so many of them.

So much infatuation with me....it is great...

Wafer can help but in a very limited way. His weaknesses are defense and passing, and he needs to be out there with players that can compensate for his deficiencies.

I'd have him come off the bench and play with Lowry and Battier. Lowry takes the ball out of Wafer's hands and allows him to concentrate on just scoring. And last year, Battier was good at covering up many of Wafer's defensive lapses.

Wafer's no answer, but he can definitely help.

DD, seriously ENOUGH with this Wafer talk.

He wasnt strong enough mentally to play in Europe yet you harp about how mentally weak Ariza is.

Drink your own kool-aid sometime and see if its too sweet for some, and too bitter for others.

hoping von would be the spark off the bench.

based on the past games von played, his shot selection and decision making is still poor, since landry has developed into a solid scorer ,when von play along with carl ,he should know who is the #1 option.I would be disgust if von neglect his teammates, and keep doing his stupid one on one play mode.

anyway von is loved by so many fans,i would welcome him with all my brothers.come on von!!go rox!!

Von Wafer will be a very big asset to this by virtue of the fact that his presence will limit Ariza's PT. He can essentially get the PT a healthy Tmac would have gotten. With him and C-bud on the roster we can alleviate the offensive struggles of Battriza somewhat. We still need another playmaker to compelment Brooks, but at least we have players who can create their own damn shot. Good god hope he's back in our next game
