On Sep 22, 22022, Ramaswamy wrote this op-ed
The Grand Old Party of Crybabies
    denouncing Trump's concocted victimhood mythology

The worst victimhood narrative that afflicts modern conservatives is their budding belief that any election they lose must have been stolen. Instead of distinguishing ourselves as the party that strives for excellence and rejects the easy path of victimhood narratives, we simply created our own.

While Donald Trump promised to lead the nation to recommit itself to the pursuit of greatness, what he delivered in the end was just another tale of grievance, a persecution complex that swallowed much of the Republican Party whole.

Trump took a page from the Abrams playbook. His claims were just as weak as Abrams’. She claimed voter suppression in her 2018 defeat, he claimed voter fraud two years later. He filed scores of lawsuits over various claims of fraud, as was his right, but they came nowhere close to changing the outcome in a single state, let alone the several swing states whose results he needed to overturn. In many cases, judges the president himself had nominated ruled against him, a sign of health in our nation’s institutions.
Our institutions did hold, in the end. But they shouldn’t have been tested.

It worked for JD Vance. The cult only cares about present loyalty to the God king.

"Law and order" is a long standing fascist principle in the sense that people who say it usually means it's a one way street of law and order applied to only the poor and middle class and more specifically people who don't fit the dominant cultural group.

People who spam "law and order" aren't talking about mega corps evading taxes or harmful dangerous labor practices that ruin individual lives. The top of the hiearchy ****ing with the people at the lower end of the hiearchy is compatible with the "order" part of "law and order". That's what they mean by "order". There is a chain of command in terms of who can **** over who.

Look at the people addicted to "law and order" and what they spam in a NBA team fan message board.... Urban minority crimes.

Is this an accurate assessment you think of people who use the term "law and order" as a good thing @Os Trigonum ?

Agree that Trump will pick a woman, and likely a socially attractive woman that is willing to appear often on television. Trump has the Evangelical vote, they held their nose and voted for him before, so doing it again will not be a big ask. He also has the Q and weird, conspiracy vote locked down/the small business vote as well. Where he struggles with women. If he has a female running mate, that may be enough to let conservative women justify voting for Trump (at least in how Trump sees the world).

Law and Order is code for keeping the status quo social order in place - that is a white dominated patriarchy where most of those in the upper middle and middle class are white or hard working minorities not born in the USA that will accept the status quo social order.

That means keeping poor black people quiet and on their side of town - Mexicans that do not accept the social order, they are to be marginalized as dangerous and dirty - the LGBTQ people are sexual deviants and should live in the shadows or stick to select parts of downtown... the academics are to remain quiet ----- and the prevailing order, that has largely allowed white people, and those that are not white, but want to integrate into white social order at all costs, continue to rule and benefit - and live in areas like Thousand Oaks California, and Winnetka, Illinois and all the other suburbs and areas with low crime rates - large homes, and the top 1% of living in the world - where they are insulated from guilt.

It is such a loaded term - but at the end of the day, it means enforce the status quo - for those that benefit from the status quo.

Fascists simplify complex issues of crime and poverty and pretend some super cop or vigilante can just beat the **** out of petty criminals into a stable ordered society.

    Stealing bad mkay.

No ****. Maybe for once in your life take a few steps back to analyze the socioeconomic conditions that often can increase petty crime.

Right, that or some version of that argument is always how it starts - and then you have it accelerate. Some people are perfectly fine with it, typically those that benefit from the social order status quo.

I've seen an older video of him doing it, but not sure the "Iowa State Fair" is the best venue for it :D.
