PSJ, that is a possibility. And that's what makes date-rape-like cases so hard to prosecute (it is sounding somewhat like a date-rape case since it began with the tour and some flirting and whatnot). There is the additional difficulty that there are so many shades of gray in rape. Did she want to do something but not quite so much? Did she want to have sex with him but objected to the particular style? Did she consent but only because she felt a completely unspoken coercion? It is possible that Bryant coerced her into having sex without even realizing it was coercion. Is it rape when that happens? It's all very gray. I think it will be very hard to actually get a conviction because the defense will do what it can to show how she wanted it in some way, or didn't sufficiently object or something. Of course, I'm speculating with little no evidence here.
Well, there's now a "counter" to this. Well, at least something on Kobe's side. A party host had this gal over at his home, and said she was bragging about the event, and even described his "thingy" to other party-goers. EEEEK!!

Wait, there's one thing I don't understand... This Luke Bray saw visible evidence of her being raped? Was he looking at her p*ssy or something? If it's just bruises on her arms or something, that could be explained through other things. The most irrefutable place the bruises or "visible evidence" would have to be near the inner thigh. Which brings up the question...why the hell is he looking at her there?!
Putting all the news together so far got me thinking. Let me state the points/rumors/stories I've heard so far: -Kobe, 10 PM, June 30th, Admitted to the Spa/Hospital for Surgery -The Girl went up to Kobe's room for "room service" at 11 PM, June 30th, supposedly after room service had stopped -The girl was @ a guy's party, 3 days before filing charges (July 1st charges were filed, so that would be July 28th) and was bragging about Kobe's manhood size. -The girl already has a prior record of allegations, having made 2 previous allegations against others which weren't brought to trial -THe girl overdosed on drugs 2 months before after hearing about a former boyfriend hookin up with different chick, and other family problems Now the point to all this is that it is confusing. How could Kobe have been at the clinic @ 10 and then back to the hotel @ 11? After, the surgery, he obviously needs to recooperate, so how could he even HAVE sex? BUT, he has stated that indeed he did, so perhaps sex didn't occur June 30th? Or if it did, perhaps it occured early in the morning, 12 AM or 1 AM. THat is 1 theory. Another theory is that perhaps the incident happened a few days before. This would lead to her bragging about it then filing the charges. But, if it DID happen on the 30th of June and she filed on the 1st of July, how could she have gone to a parties which was supposed 3 days earlier and bragged about it? Did she see Kobe more than once? Currently I think that there is much more factual and fictional support to Kobe's claims then there is to the girls. Plus with her history of emotional problems, allegations, and what some stories allege as her being known as the "school slut", her case isn't looking to well. Any other things to add?
When they say 3 days before charges were filed, I think they mean by the DA, not her. So, a good 2 weeks after the alleged rape.
You know, you have to wonder...with Kobe's so called competitive nature and losing the NBA title if, just if, he snapped and went crazy for that slight moment.
I'd take a hard look at the girl's parents and the prosecutors, their backgrounds and possible motives before assuming it's just between Bryant and the girl. It's possible for people to be coerced or misled into thinking that they got raped while they actually weren't. In this case, a report in another thread reported that the girl was told by her mother that she's raped, quoting one of her friend.
this is what was reported on LA SportsTalk 690 and 1150 The victim has visible bruises around her "private" areas. The victim was treated for neck injuries. The victim was not supposed to be at the hotel that night (they didn't report whether or not she traded shifts with someone or if she just wasn't supposed to be there are all) The victim and Kobe may have had a previous relationship dating back two months. Panda may just have something there. When I was in college a friend of mine became involved with a girl. They became intimate - VERY INTIMATE. He was black and she was white and she came from a wealthy family. Well, her father found out and confronted the girl one night after she'd been out with my friend. The man went ballistic and physically beat her. Then he called the police and reported that she had been attacked and raped by, that's right, my friend. Next, the cops swooped down on our dorm and dragged the poor guy off in handcuffs and charged him with felony sexual assault. Of course it was his contention that the sex was consensual as she was his girlfriend and all but all the cops and everyone else saw is black male and white girl and sex: case closed. Now, his goose would have been cooked save for one tiny fact: his family had money also! His folks hired a top notch criminal lawyer who in turn, hired a private detective who found evidence of the father's violent temper as well as his views on interracial coupling. Because of this, the attorney was able to uncover what had really happened, got the girl to recant and eventually got the case dismissed and my friend's record was expunged. My point here is that things are never the way they appear to be and that it pays to be able to afford good legal counsel.

OK, how’s this for what happened? I’ve read bits and pieces of the numerous reports/rumors & gossip posted here and elsewhere. They meet at the resort and get a nice vibe from each other. Kobe wants a sandwich and she offers to bring one up after she gets off the clock at 11pm. She goes up and one thing leads to another they are messing around. She is very impressed with his 9+ inch shlong. Kobe likes her services but wants to tag that a** also. She thinks -Oh my god it is too big for me. Maybe she tells him he is too big for sex and he doesn’t care or maybe she gives in after he says he will be gentle. Either way they have sex and Kobe splits her wide open. Their done, she leaves and goes home. The next day she can barely walk and her poontang is screaming at her for letting Kobe touch her with that monster snake. Her mother notices her pain and asked her what the problem is. She is hesitant to reveal her escapade with Kobe. Eventually it is pried out that she was hurt during sex. Naturally the parents think rape because their sweet and innocent daughter would never volunteer to have been hurt so badly. At this point the girl is too afraid/ashamed to admit it was consentual. The police are involved and now it has blown up. I think this is plausible. It follows the events as we know them. It explains the physical evidence. What are your thoughts? Do any facts/rumors conflict with this account?
Well according to Steve Hartman by way of "the loose cannons" fame on XTRA 1150 in LA, the victim did have bruises in her private areas. So maybe it was possible and your story is correct. But factor in that Kobe went to Colorado for some sort of Arthroscopic knee surgery procedure at that time I believe. That probably menas that one of his legs was more that likely immoblized at the time, thus hindering his movements a little. I say "immoblized" because one would want to restrict movement to there knee after any operation to allow it to heal properly and take away as much pain as possible. In light of this, I am guessing she has to be on top in this case. Which would mean that more than likely, she led him on instead of him dominating and forcing her to give it up. Which leads to this being CONSENTUAL SEX, unless Kobe said NO, which I doubt anyman would do in this case. This will probably be the defense's arguement.
