Do it now in your teenage years. Girls in your age group is at their tip top shape. Most people outside of Texas and the south get married in their thirties. Your junk might be moldy by then and everyone is out of shape. You'll be disappointed.

 

No offense Pastor, but just as I can't possibly know if there was anything I missed by not waiting for marriage, I can't see how you can testify with personal certainty about what is "best" except from a scriptural context. Because you only chose the waiting option.

I have often heard the argument "Even if the sex is bad, you won't know any better if you are both virgins. You will think its as it is supposed to be".

Well I know two pairs of people who waited til marriage and are experiencing sexual dysfunction (one fairly religious and one secular and neither couple the one involving our one mutual friend..). Both are aware there is a "problem". This isn't the 1700's, even folks who remain chaste are aware of the existence of such things as orgasms.

I think you were very wise to state that the most important thing is to make sure you have found the right one. (Though I apply that standard to marriage moreso than sex.)

 

Don't listen to all these wanna-be p*rn stars telling you how many women they've slept with and that you should do the same. The majority of it is just internet bravado and probably not even true anyway.......

Just do what you think is right and to hell with anyone who tries to tell you any different. Stick to your beliefs and you will find someone else out there who feels the same way.

I was one of the people who gave into the pressure in high school and I regretted it a lot. Not because I held my virginity as being this precious thing, but because I did it for all the wrong reasons.

Stick with your gut and it will happen as it should and when it should.

 

I waited... my wife waited... and we're very compatible in the bedroom.

I guess I'm pretty lucky, and I can't speak for everyone else's experience.

But it was well worth it for us.

I'll pile on the opinion bandwagon here. I think you should just break your cherry and get it over with.

But, I respect that you are waiting for whatever reason, and if it makes you happy, more power to you. You're still super young, and if in 10 years you're looking at a marriage not working out, you'll still be more than young enough to go out and be a dog for a good long while.

IROC it, congrats to you. My wife and I are in the same exact boat except we were older than you when we married. But I would specifically say to mrm32 that he not demand his wife also be a virgin. That could be a huge mistake. His decision to stay a virgin is for himself, only.

I dated girls in high school, in college I just screwed girls, now days I don't have time to chase women I either have a girlfriend or a **** buddy at all times.

Point is I don't understand how or why anyone would wait? Unless you can't get any, as far as fat girls go I know my buddies and I in college would get drunk and let y'all blow us so what is your excuse?

 

someone else said it best. You don't necessarily have to wait until marriage, but do wait for someone that you do like. Rather than just banging someone that you don't like that much just to pop it.

 

it really depends on the girl that you fall for

its either

a) if the girl is one also, she would be comfortable with you because, well, she may want to start one with one who is a virgin so she won't be embarrassed by sleeping with one who's "active" but may break up with you so she can "experience" from a partner that knows what they are doing

b) if the girl isn't and your not, then you both know what your doing, and there are no complaints later one

I really do believe what they said on "The 40 Year Old Virgin" is true, you have to sleep with a bunch of "hood rats" so you can satisfy the one you "love" later on.

 

Are you in a relationship now? You can't say you are saving it or not until you start dating someone seriously and have to start dealing with the issue seriously. You'll find yourself with someone and it will just feel right.
