DraftExpress currently has Hairston going #28 in the upcoming draft.

P.J. Hairston has a very high gift, he should be a first round draft

I read that as of a couple of days ago, the Mavs' affiliate, Texas Legends, had the highest waiver priority. If so, you'd think Cuban wants to screw the Rockets over.

How would that screw the Rockets over? It's not like the Rockets could ever call him up?

The ONLY way in which the Legends claiming Hairston off waivers ahead of the Vipers could hurt the Rockets is if Morey is particularly focusing on Hairston as a draft prospect and wants to get the closest look at him.

Even then, it doesn't necessarily translate into the Rockets actually drafting a player. Remember, they really did like Glen Rice, Jr. heading into the draft; but they went for Isaiah Cannan instead, who they felt was a better prospect. (Rice went off the board with the very next pick.)

I know you're (half-)joking, but just thought I'd downplay this "drama" anyway.
