Even if it was according to the media it is never because of christinanity unless if the person is muslim

I assume your a christian. What do you think of this?

Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

cmon, ATW you catch all the issues with specific muslims creating acts to show that the religion is just naturally promoting negative acts in various ways, you didn't catch this?

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/12/01/utah.polygamist/index.html?hpt=T2

and how they use christianity to justify whatever the hell they want to do arbitrarily but the religion itself doesn't condone it, but they call it christianity anyways....

you can find this **** everywhere, people liek this everywhere doing all kinds of stuff and just in their lingo they use "by god is my witness' 'so help me god' 'god help me with this' even if they aren't religious or referring towards a religion just bc its how they say things even and some just misconstrue whatever they want bc any idea is more dignified if 'god said to do it' yet, same over and over you refuse to understand that just like the majority of christians and majority of most main religions, the people and the preachings are peaceful, but you have bad apples of different people in all of different eras, not always at the same time, but usually there are other issues and reasons for it behind it, but you are only living in this present era/time, that could go back to 50-60 years or a 100 whatever/whenever the issues were there and just can't take your blinders/ignorance away from your thought process, I think everyone is clear with that

I think it is ridiculous nonsense, reflecting part of the spirit at the time it was written in the region it was written. Same goes for lots of these ancient man-written texts, bible and koran to name a couple - not saying they both do not contain a lot of wisdom and good guidance, but they also contain a lot of crap.

That's ridiculous stuff as well, I never claimed other religions or their followers were perfect, it's a question of scale, and possibly my personal exposure, quite frankly. I would probably meet the Loch Ness monster before I would personally meet a bigamist from Utah, but I could at any time be blown up by an islamist terrorist in an airport or plane.

I think poverty and culture have a lot to do with it, but some of the culture comes from the Koran.

When folks are trying to take things literally and they were written 1300 years ago and based off a bunch of previous mythos, then yes....I see that as a problem.

Every reference to conflict in the Quran says to avoid it.

As you ignorantly pointed out the other day, the only exceptions are the verses which are directed at the Prophet PBUH to attack the people who were imminenly about to engage in mass murder of muslims just for being muslim.

The culture is Arab. Maybe you don't know much about pre-Islamic Arabia, and that's ok, but it makes more sense to acknowledge it than to associate the violence with something you like to talk about.

It's the only way we will ever have any peace is to get rid of stupid religion.

Do you think the Quran is perfect and should be taken literally?

The women are beautiful, but the winters are loooooooong and dark. I'd prefer a sunnier place.

I mean this in the most polite way honestly, but based on some of your recent posts, I don't think you completely understand what the word "literally" means.

I'm not going to answer your question. If it's very important to you, feel free to start a thread about it. FYI, I wouldn't participate in it.

    Just please stop derailing threads.

    Dodging the question, I see.

Scared that the basis of your ideology might be questioned?

If you are concerned about the thread being derailed:

What is your comment on the violent and intolerant behavior of some muslims in Sweden? Would you say it has nothing to do with Islam?

Really? It must be all those Arabs in and around Bali and Malaysia being influenced by the contradictions in the Koran....but wait, they aren't arab at all....huh, that is weird...what is the connection, oh right, Islam.

I dont want to inject myself in your debate or anything like that but I just want to say that what you quoted from Leviticus isnt Christian and if anyone were to follow that they wouldnt be acting as a Christian. If anyone thought by doing that they were doing some Christian duty then Im afraid they just dont get it.

NMS, all true.....the Christians did some pretty heinous stuff in the name of their religion, that is why it is called the DARK AGES !

And now, Islam is being hijaked by extremists and being utilized in much the same manner.

It is not just Arabs though, that is a cope out.

The Koran is a fallible piece of literature, and has many contradictions which can be manipulated.
