Try to sell your vinyl first on audiophile sites or forums (audiogon, audiokarma, etc) before ebay or vinyl stores.
#1 You have already compensated the artist for this music so I wouldn't feel too bad about going out there and freeloading another copy of it. There is more music and more obscure music available on line than you will believe. How about John Kay playing with a blues band called The Sparrows before he played with Steppenwolf or Randy California playing duets with Hendrix when he was with Jimmy James and the Blue Flames. It's all there though some of it is compressed 128K stuff. Storage is not really an issue anymore since you can get a terabyte hard drive for $100. Recording your own vinyl would just have to be a labor of love. If you decide to do it be sure to use some software that will clean up the clicks and static. I'd just join a Usenet group and go crazy. It's not like your taking money from It A Beautiful Day. By the way B-Bob did you see the thread titled Psychedelic Flashback? It should be on page 3 or 4. My buddy bought a direct to digital turntable and digitized a lot of pretty esoteric Psychedlelia and put it in that podcast that I linked. Here: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=176921
if it is against your principles to share already digitized files of music you already own then i think you should go all the way and rip your vinyl with as much fidelity as your principles deserve. srsly
