Because when I think defense the first thing that comes to mind is

    Vinny Del Negro

I mean I didnt read through the entire article just saw his 8 bullet points and its like "Well dammit know Rick Carlisle knows that he should force him right, minimize his touches etc. The Rockets are f'ed now the secret is out"

I dont understand how Del Negro is still getting work

    Up next on BR:
Steph Curry's reaction to stopping James Harden.
Lebron may be seeing the Celtics again soon, what does this mean for Curry?
Can you even stop Steph Curry?
Can Steph Curry ever even have a bad game?
    Why Steph Curry is immortal.
What did Steph Curry eat for dinner the night he made the game tying shot?

There was really nothing special about what he said. You could apply those points to any perennial scorer in the league.

Sounds simple. Why didn't any other coach think about doing these things? Definitely means Vinny is back on his way to an NBA coaching gig with this type of analysis.

Wow, only a checklist of 8 things to do.

"You were brought to this earth to guard James Harden. From the day you were born, your sole purpose was to guard James Harden. We will practice these simple 8 steps day in and day out. Go my child, fulfill your destiny!"

I was looking for more specifics than these general concepts that everyone and their mom already knows.

If this is the way Vinnie coached, he's an idiot.

"Father, what did I do wrong? I got to the league ready to stop James Harden, but he retire now. No one wants my skill set, it's no longer needed!!!"

Why is Vinny focusing on Harden, I thought Curry was the best ball handler in the league and soon to be announced MVP. Why doesn't he go write an article on how to stop him? Oh wait, he plays in California. That would be turning against your own. The media wouldn't allow that.

Sounds like it may hold him to triple doubles of say 18 points 11 boards and 13 assists..

Shane Battier (in his prime) would know how to guard James Harden. Probably the only guy with the intelligence, discipline, pre-game plan, and athletic ability, to do so.

Best way to stop Harden? Huh, put him in a playoff game. Do anybody here even remember the last time Harden had a good playoff game? But but but, that 11 assist game. Please, those kind of number along with a bad shooting night won't cut it against a real contending team.

Damn. The secret's out. Harden is officially rendered useless.

    It's been a fun ride, y'all.
