Is it possible that the Lobsters just aren't as good as people think they are? CP is a great player, but the supporting cast was basically the same 30-win team from last year minus Gordon/Kaman/Aminu, no?
The experience is lacking but the talent should more than make up for it. Much like OKC. However, the coaching is atrocious. They have a dominant PG and a very good PF with shooters surrounding them and a decent big man in Jordan that can protect the rim and rebound when he can stay on the floor. They lack discipline and better play calling. Both of which are Negro's fault.
I don't know why Clippers even hired him in the first place. He sucked in Chicago, and continues to suck in Clippers
5-game homestand starting tomorrow after losing 3 games in 3 nights. No better time than today. If Vinny isn't canned today, he will finish the season. His only hope is that the sorry Mark Iavaroni is the alternative. Clippers should have been better prepared.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Phil Jackson did manage to get Kobe and Shaq on the same page....well, enough to win a few rings together. Before that, they were constantly getting their butts kicked in the playoffs. San Antonio without Popovich? I don't know if they'd've won....how many rings? I'm too lazy to check. 4 or 5? Then again, you don't always need a HOF coach. Rudy T was good, not great; but he had Olajuwon. Miami might win it all with Spoelstra, who isn't a bad coach, just isn't among The Greats; but he has Bron, Wade, Bosh. The Clippers were fun to watch, but I'll reiterate: the refs have been propping them up a bit. They do need a good coach. Just don't know who that'll be.
I'm not sure I understand all this "lost his players" stuff. I mean that's the same thing that happened to McMillan in Portland. I thought he was a good coach, but something happened and his players didn't want to play for him anymore. Why couldn't the same thing happen in Clipperland if he were to go there?
I think the additions of Chandler, Nick Young, and Mo Williams (from last year's trade deadline) are pretty significant. This team finally has a legit starting-5 this year.
It very well could. Nate was most definitely NOT a players coach with the Sonics. That's where he got the "Sarge" nickname. He took the same persona to Portland and the frostiness continued. What helped him (and maybe bailed him out) was Brandon Roy coming on board. It took a while, but the two bonded very strongly and Roy became Nate's mouthpiece. Nate's relationship with the other players remained distant but Roy became his lockerroom communicator (and enforcer). Without Roy on the team, Nate lost them again. The more I think about it, the more I believe Nate McMillan might have the same problems with the Clippers if they hire him.
yea yeah yeah. Fock CP3! Fock Black Griffin. Fock everybody from LA!. I hate them alllllll. argghhhhh CF.net arghhhh uhhhh where hate thrives.
