Well, like it or not, Simms has led us to our first ten win season since Dod was a junior in high school. First ten win season in a while. He's got us knocking on the door . He has a 145+ QB rating with 22 td's and 8 int's. He corrected his problem with his balls getting batted down. Simply put, as bad as he has been, this is the closest we've been to a MNC in a LONG time.
Well, like it or not, Simms has led us to our first ten win season since Dod was a junior in high school. This season is eerily similar to our 1995 season (hopefully with a different ending) Pre-Bowl-Game Record: 1995: 10-1-1, 2001: 10-1 Big Loss: 1995: @ Notre Dame (Tied Oklahoma), 2001: Oklahoma Big Wins: 1995: @ A&M, #15 Virginia, 2001: @ A&M, #15 Colorado In both cases, relatively easy schedule outside of the above. 1995 Bowl Birth: Sugar Bowl 2001 Bowl Birth: Probably the Sugar Bowl 1995 ended with a blowout by VaTech. Hopefully, this year will be different!
VY lives to play another week... Madison stuns #1 North Shore, 61-58. The teams had over 1000 yards of total offense with over ten minutes still left at the game. Not sure how many TDs Young had, but it had to be way up there. Awesome game.
I read a thing online today at rivals100.com that said Young wants to play 2 sports in college. just thought I'd throw that out as grist for the "where will Vincent Young" end up mill. . . also, Michael Vick has a younger brother named Marcus Vick who is a hot recruit in virginia.
