I think Philly is the perfect place for him. Vick has injury issues and if he goes down VY will have the keys to a SB contender. He has never had these type of weapons. If Vick doesn't get hurt he still gets to learn from him and a QB guru. Whats not to like?
The problem for VY was that he simply did not work hard enough in the classroom or in the film room. He had his bouts where he would put in the effort for a month or two and he would play at a very high level, and would lead his team..... but he always would slide back to his old ways and he would fail..... that gets old for teams... and after 4-5 times of it happening, Fisher had enough.
Jamelle Hill confirmed that Jeff fisher put the word out to the rest of the NFL not to give VY a chance as a starter, which I find odd because I've noticed he's saying positive things about him publicly. And now we find out Jeff Fisher's been blackballing VY in the closet, behind his back? Oh well at least now he probably won't have to gameplan against him, or he better hope.
Has to be speculation. I bet she said its because he's black. Did she call fisher a racist? All she ever writes about is supposed "racial issues". **** Jemele Hill
This is probably false. Hill wouldn't throw out accusations like that and not include racism. You should stop trying to find credible sources and go back to nonsensical arguments like in the last page.
Jeff Fisher is a political asshat, he has been part of the problem in Tennesee for a long time. Publicly says the right things, like keeping things in house, then goes out and blasts a guy publicly. What a douche ! DD
Steve McNair was a whiteman. Oh my bad, he chased the white women. Does Joe mell Hill know that Steve McNair was black right?
this may be his last chance to turn things around. Hopefully he doesnt screw it up and he actually puts forth the time and effort to become a good player...not to mention he needs to finally grow his ass up and stop acting like a child.
Thank god, maybe he'll get back on track before his numbers go totally..uh..up the drain. Year Team GS QB Rating 2006-07 Tennessee 15 66.7 2007-08 Tennessee 15 71.1 2008-09 Tennessee 3 64.5 2009-10 Tennessee 12 82.8 2010-11 Tennessee 9 98.6
QB ratings are empty stats when all things are considered, which is why i'm not surprised you would look at them. They guy never really improved that much in terms of being a better QB in the pure sense. Thus far it's mostly just wasted talent.
Speaking of quarterback rating, has anybody else heard of that new rating system ESPN is unveiling this Friday. They're hoping it overtakes the current system for rating passers. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/peter_king/08/01/camps/1.html
um, exactly why should it? and if they're going to put more weight on a completion within the last two minutes, it should be offset by the type of defense played, presumably prevent.
Oh man oh man, this tired argument again? it must be groundhog day! Year Team QB Rating Pass Atts Pass Att/G 2006-07 Tennessee 66.7 357 24 2007-08 Tennessee 71.1 382 25.5 <s>2008-09 Tennessee 64.5 36</s> (removed due to sample size) 2009-10 Tennessee 82.8 259 21.5 2010-11 Tennessee 98.6 156 17.3 Interesting how VY's QB rating gets so much worse the more he throws. Not exactly a great thing to have your QB's throwing the ball more than 20 times a game be such a liability. Unless, of course, you don't want a QB that can throw the ball, I guess Lies, damned lies, and statistics...
Is that true? The Philadelphia Eagles is one of the first team that had a long-term starting quarterback who is black. To help you out, his name is Randall Cunningham.
