Agreed. I love a good Vince pile on as much as the next guy, but I think he's got a good case. I don't blame him.
Cant wait to see VY fail on the field again, so I can see what excuses these vincesexuals are going to come up with.
It's like the Baltimore Ravens having a ceremony for Jim Brown, the former Cleveland Brown.....or the Indianapolis Colts have a ceremony for Johnny Unitis of the former Baltimore Colts. All those franchises moved away from their beloved cities and the history with those cities should have died that same day. I do wish Adams would have released the "Oilers" name and we still had the Houston Oilers in town. BTW - How the heck did the Cleveland Browns keep their name? Oh...found it... http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nfl/clev/browns.html 1996: Immediately after Art Modell announced his move, the city of Cleveland began to fight him and the NFL in an attempt to keep the Browns in Cleveland. The NFL had taken up battles with owners who were attempting to relocate before, only to come up the loser in court. However, the NFL wanted the Browns to remain in Cleveland, and eventually get a new stadium. It was then that a unique compromise was made. Art Modell would be allowed to move the team to Baltimore, but he would not be allowed to take the Browns history with him. The deal also stipulated that Cleveland would get a new NFL franchise in 1999 that would take up the history of the Browns. While Modell's team that was renamed the Ravens would be regarded as a new team.
So why was someone else allowed to copyright them? I didn't see that he was trying to get the exclusive right to those 2 letters, just be allowed to use them.
