you don't remember what happened. he tried to sign that incentive based contract. he didn't get taken by the agents, master p's group, just by new orleans.

who knows, even people like snoop are suing master p. maybe master p and n.o. were in on it together.

It's Ricky Williams but he definitely has one of the worst, if not the worst, mishap in picking his agent.

As pg stated, Master P bascially had no idea what he was doing (or maybe he knew exactly what he was doing). Despite being the fifth pick in the draft, he came out with an absolutely horrendous contract.

    So, lemme get this straight:

Mario signed for more guaranteed money, and if all incentives are met by both players, Mario will make more money.

    That right?

Bottom line, they are both going to be very wealthy men for the rest of their lives.

It doesn't make sense to me either. When will it stop? Is there is a ceiling? Are we going to get to a poin, say in 10 years, where the first overral pick [a blue chip QB] gets $40M guaranteed? How will it affect the economy and balance of the game?

When is the next NFL/NFLPA CBA?

considering they got the WORSE CBA of the three leagues
who much more do you wanna screw the players????

they can basically get cut for no reason
the only real guaranteed money is the signing bonus

    Meanwhile
they are by far the most profitable league
the owners make UBERMONEY . . yet no one is worried about that
    I mean . .
They are slowly moving everything to cable for more lucrative deals
which is making watching games for free a thing of the past
In a few years. . . everything maybe PPV

Thanks for the article, mateo. Did anyone think this is weird: "On Wednesday, Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said Billy Volek is his starter heading into the season" ??

Very good for Vince. Now he can concentrate on producing results. I'm curious to see his endorsement deals. Negotiating slotted contracts would seem to be much easier than endorsements.

Either way, this is great for Vince and his agent. So far, so good. I have no problem at all rooting for the Titans now.

LMAO. In the Bush thread, you said he was an idiot or something like that when we talked about him wanting #1 pick money, but since its Vince at #3 its all good right?

He called him a jackass for holding out. Last I checked, VY isn't holding out because he thinks he is worth #1 money. He's good enough that Tennessee knows he is, they signed him, and now he's not missing any time. Bush is. That's what makes him the jackass. His ego is hurting the team.

If the saints offered Bush what the Titans offered Young then there wouldn't be any holdouts. It is the simple case of the owner trying to lowball a player and Bush should hold out in this situation.

Do you realize how many season tickets Bush has sold for this team already? He is making the owner rich, so he should get compensated accordingly.
