Is he retiring to take his sausage business to the next level? There's a lot of benjamins to be made in the sausage business right now. Gotta strike while the iron's hot http://www.vinceyoungsausage.com/
I'm kinda glad all of those Vince Young fan's decided to follow the Titans instead of the Texans. They get to feel that Oilers dissapointment in a whole new refreshing way now.
I'm sad for Vince, but it's definitely ironic because several of his few remaining NFL believers regularly pointed to his "intangibles" and "leadership" as outweighing his pitiful production. Given all this, it seems his statistical production was actually the high point of his game. Wow.
I have TWO replies for this here gem of a post, and I shall make both now, Alex, for a true DAILY DOUBLE: That's what SHE said! People in this city have been eating Vince Young's sausage before he even got the idea to rip off Earl Campbell and make his own sausage.
The glaring difference between Young and Williams is that Mario has taken doubts and questions from everyone and turned it into a motivation tool while Young hasn't felt like he needed to answer anything because he is, after all, Vince Young. Williams went out to prove his worth as a #1 pick. Then he went out and proved that he should have been selected for the Pro Bowl. And he's going about his business in trying to make himself the top defensive player in the league. College National Champs, then the final drive to beat his hometown team, then the Offensive Rookie of the Year, then the Pro Bowl...the kid thought he could do no wrong. 9TDs/17INTs and a sub-70 QB rating later, he finally sees that reality is kicking in--either you keep on trying to improve your game year after year, or you can rest on your ass and think that your physical gifts can continue to carry you.
His pal Chris Simms is going to help him out. That's what friends are for. Oh DD, I love that song! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/35YivWEs3zw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/35YivWEs3zw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
