I agree with that first sentence. Vick biggest problem was when they got rid of Dan Reeves. He would of became a better player if Reeves was still his coach. My comparison on the two was Vick and Young really don't have the supporting cast as far as receiving playmakers. Roddy White has turned out to be one but when Vick was the qb they had a offensive linemen was the receivers coach so Roddy never learned.

Vince Young seems to have a way better line then Vick had though. Hopefully Vince will grow as a player, hate to see a player with that much talent go to waste.

Agreed again, Kerry Collins hasn't been that impressive when Young was out. When Collins is playing they still struggle to score. That right there should tell Titan fans and management that the guys around them is a huge problem.

They don't have any playmakers at the wideout position. I loved Crumpler when he was here in Atlanta but he is past his prime.

The Texans wouldn't have made the playoffs with Vince at QB. They were bad at nearly every position then and are only now getting decent-good at more than 1-2 spots on the field. If they had taken Vince, they'd have even less of a pass rush than the abysmal one they have now.

So, with such a crappy team, Vince doesn't make the playoffs. Without making the playoffs, his ugly stats don't win him any awards and he is not a "winner at the QB position."

If they keep winning, who cares?

With that defense, playmakers on offense just aren’t a big priority. Fisher just wants the offense to play ‘keep-away’ and keep the defense off the field. Just eat up clock and get in field goal range. He would probably rather win games 9-6 than 35-31.

Man, can you imagine if the Texans had a guy like Albert Hayensworth at DT…..instead of Travis Johnson…. That game yesterday would have been totally different.

The Texans are a worse team with Vince at QB.

On the other hand, if the titans had Sage at QB last year, they are a MUCH better team than with Vince.

Who cares if they keep winning? Well they won't be winning a championship if that offense doesn't get whoever their QB is some type of playmaker. Unless Titan fans are just satisfied with going to the playoffs and then losing.

If you ask me (and I don't like admitting this), Vick has (had) a lot more talent than VY. As a runner, it isn't even close. Vick is likely the most dynamic running QB the NFL will ever see. As far as passing, VY hasn't given me reason to think he will become equal to Vick. I'm not saying his 3rd year will determine his future, but I haven't seen any signs or flashes from VY of going to another level.

Yeah but if your the management you can't count on that happening. The Ravens also had a quarterback that didn't make mistakes. Trent Dilfer was a game manager, Young isn't that type of qb.

Can't say that for Young he has a trend of having more interceptions then touchdown in games.

That was his first year with the Titans when he was learning the offense. He has been better than VY when he has filled in for the Sausage Lover. If VY would have played in the game at Reliant last year that would have been a Texans victory. No way the Titans would have scored 38 points with VY at QB.

Vick was also just a better all around play maker. In a way, he was kind like Favre in his mentality, but he was more of runner. Still, he could avoid sacks, turn busted plays or a breaking in pass coverage into 5 to 60 yard run and occassionally a big pass play down the field.

The only thing Vick really struggled with was intermediate passing and then he has partial excuse for that, because his receivers dropped alot of passes.

Another thing is you needed the right kind of defense to beat Vick, one which was very physical and fast, while being able to play smart. Most bad defenses or older ones didn't stand a chance.

Vince has lost some confidence for some reason, he needs to quit reading the papers and just play the play ground game that makes him special.

His ego is badly bruised since most of Nashville wants to run him out. The boos were David Carr-like. OUCH. He isn't coddled like he would be here in Houston. They have zero allegiance.

I loved VY as a college player, but lets face it, he's no Jay Cutler.

The pregame show before the Texans game on CBS? summed it up best. They showed a play where the Titans rb made a GREAT block to give VY the time to make the pass and he missed his guy by like 6 yrds...wide open for the td, and the guys were all saying how can you possibly not make that pass? VY really needs to be working on his passing. That's totally inexcusable.

Maybe not, but he's already got better stats than VY in less than 4 minutes of gameplay.

I just talked to my coworker in Nashville who is a big Titans fan. He claims that the fans are fed up with Vince and thats why he got the boos. They are all happy now that Collins is the QB. I guess we don't hear this much around here because most fans in Texas still think Vince is at UT and won't acknowledge how poor of an NFL quarterback he is.

At this rate, he'll probably be out of the league in 3-4 years.

Cutler was diagnosed with diabetes last year so he has to regulate his blood sugar.
