Talk about homers... Bush averaged almost 9 per carry. Vince didn't average almost 10 per pass...it was almost 10 per pass attempt. And sorry, but SC has played against crappy defenses all year long.
Yep. He averaged 15.21 yards per completion, with 26 TDs. His 6.25 yards per carry is just horrendous, though.
Sorry, meant to put pass attempt. A pass attempt, like IC said, is supposed to average much more than a rushing attempt.
i love UT but the big 12 sucks. best bet out there right now is Oregon -3 v. OU cuz the big 12 sucks.
It all makes sense now. Half of the people that live in Austin are from California, hence all the t-shirt fans.
you're right..tommy couldn't pass. no way tommy could run the offense the longhorns run. i REALLY liked tommy frazier. young is a more complete player. that's why he'll be playing on sundays, as well.
Actually, congrats to Vince on the awards, he had a great season. However, like someone pointed out, there are a ton of awards (too many). When my name was called for best linebacker I was shocked. We all the know the two awards that truly matter are the Heisman and whoever's MVP of the Rose Bowl this year. I disagree on all the comparison's. Weinke played baseall and was out of his prime when he won the Heisman. He also didn't have the same tools that Leinart does. Salaam and Bush don't even have similar styles. They aren't even comparable. However, if you actually followed what you where saying Salaam had an great rookie season for the Bears. He would have been a great running back if not for a mar1juana problem.
you're right. charlie ward was fantastic. just too short for the pro game, apparently. which i never entirely understood because flutie was able to be successful, to some degree, in the NFL.
I always thought Ward didn't have the arm strength to play in the NFL. example of great college player who's skills really didn't translate to the NFL. on the other hand Kordell Stewart wasn't as good a passer as Ward was in college, but he had some tools that gave him a shot a playing qb in the NFL.
So everyone that wears a UT shirt must graduate from there? In the 15 years you've lived in Austin, you should realize that Austin supports the Longhorns. We don't have a pro team to cheer for and the Longhorns are the closest thing we have. What's so weird about it? It's like wearing a Texans t-shirt, I have no direct connection with the team, but they're in my city and I support them.
