not sure if this should have had it's on thread merge if you must but here is the article

    http://www.northjersey.com/sports/nets/39699777.html

HOUSTON – Vince Carter practiced at the Toyota Center on Monday. He may be calling this building home later in the week.

The Nets and Rockets have exchanged trade proposals and continue to talk, according to league sources and sources close to the Nets. One scenario has Carter and Josh Boone going to Houston for Ron Artest, Carl Landry and Luther Head.

Now that trade I might go for. I hate to give up Landry, but we get Boone in return, that wouldn't be bad. Boone played pretty well before he got injured and Lopez took his spot.

So how does Me-Mac play in all this? Won't Carter take his spot or will he slide to the 3?

I like that deal. Trade anybody not named Scola.

You gain size with Boone, but lose the only athletism you have on the frontcourt in trading Landry. Yao, Deke, Boone, Scola and Hayes all probably have about 10 inch vertical leaps at best.

Tim Duncan said spurs won't get any significant additions before the deadline. so VC might be headed to Houston I guess.. if it happens

I would throw in Hayes instead of Carl. Boone is the same mode as Hayes with a bit offense on offense and weaker on defense. Boone is better backup for Yao than Hayes too.

If you throw in Hayes instead of Landry, then the Nets wouldn't make a deal for sure.

damn it i do not want to lose carl. he's one of the few players i enjoyed watching o this team this season and last. i'm not sure how much his game can go up from here, but i was enjoying his added offensive repertoire this year with the jumper.

i hope we don't lose a great future player, in case his ceiling is higher than we'd imagined.

Barely OK under trading rules; would put Rox in LuxHell.

That said, I could live with it.

But, then - where does Artest go and for what type of player, a 3/4? Along with Rafer for BDavis?

VC would make T-Mac's knee heal overnight.

Sorry if my memory deceives me...

But didn't Doc Rocket post a little riddle or something along the lines of "... back where it all began..."

    or something similar?...

If this is true than i guess it eludes to the days of the cousins being together in Toronto.

I think its going to be scola instead of Landry and somehow Najera is going to make his way into the deal. The rox are going to want this to be clean with no snags and if they involve Landry, he can just say no. So the rox will have to adjust and take najera, boone, carter for ron, scola, head, hayes.
