What was it there ego was to large to be on the same franchise that sounds like a family issue rather then a business issue to me, who is to say years later they wont ever get over it the past is the past and its about winning now dont you think. Carter, T-Mac, Yao that is ridiculous just like evrybody else's opinion on T-Mac's decline add another similar player helps the team not the individual that is all that matters just look at Boston.

lolz Yao is really the franchise here Carter and T-Mac both are in his shadow but i seriously doubt anyone cares about that at this time and age back then both were pretty young and not as smart either.

What team would not want a Yao TMac Vince trio needs to get there head checked.

Call me crazy but I would still start Battier. Bring Carter off the bench.
edit: on second thought maybe not.

I wouldn't mind, but I'd rather keep Battier. Carter plays no defense.

What would be really crazy though is if Artest really opt out and signs here then we land Carter for table scraps lolz then you really dont lose the defense while the offense takes a huge jump. I dont think there is enough guys you could throw at a big 4. I also always invisioned T-Mac being a ultimate 6th man for some reason do to the playmaking ability off the bench.

shane and bobby by themselves match. but if all they want is salary relief I would give them Head, Jackson, Hayes, Novak, and Francis plus cash to buyout francis so that we can get him back. The year after Tracy's contract is up Vince would be worth alot at the trade deadline because of him expiring. Good thing is he an Tracy would motivate each other to end there careers which I think is real positive.

Yea true we have cap relief, picks, and player value to land him for sure.

It would be dumb to not try then watch him end up with a divisional rival i would puke seriously like New Orleans yuck.

Also about Artest we better try to sign him as i was saying about Carter would suck if he ended up in Dallas or SA sign him to trade him atleast.

I don't know how we can get him cheaply. Our expiring contracts and even picks don't match VC's huge contract.

I do value Battier's defense and hard work, even though I'm no fan of his and I've mentioned my concerns about VC, but I would look for a defensive 2/3 to replace some of the work that Shane does and then move him, Jackson along with 1st round pick(s) if it can get the job done.

I don't see us getting into the 2nd round with the state we are in.We have to take a gamble.

Battier/Jackson/Head is cheap enough we have a shot.

It's kinda like a fire sale similar to the Gasol give away they will take atleast half of VC contract in expirings with position of needs and 1 good contract to land him and picks are just a option. They believe they have a shot at LeBron in 2010 which i doubt he even leaves Cleveland plus NJ is moving they would end up trying to save money to fit the budget.

Even Artest is not impossible either anything can happen, but i hope something happens for sure.

Ron is physically tough and plays on both ends and VC mostly is a scorer, but I will take him over Artest's behavioral problems.

QUESTION: Do you think it would be harder or easier to get him at the Trade Deadline?

Decent question. Although, I think that question has already been answered with the rumor of Thorn apparently considering dealing him straight up for Szczerbiak's expiring deal. Simply stated: if you have the expiring contracts to get it done you have a fighting chance right now.

we would be fools not to look at this option people.......neworleans and la are gonna make moves......we basically stood pat last season when everyone else went for a free for all in the west last season....

and the reason we stood pat was becuz we were eyeing makin moves in the off season......

miller is gone from memphis....so strike him

artest will want more than mid level.....and if he wants to bite a bullet for a title......LA is gonna be first with that shot.......strike him

maggette....maybe we can maybe we cant.......but tons of teams are gonna vye for his services......so we will def be in line.....and he will play us all against one another till the cows come home all the way to the 12th hour and all other free agents are long gone.....and we may end up with nathaniel......nathan......nuthin!!!!!

we can sneak and grab vince right under everyones nose.....and the nets are in a firesale....why the hell not....especially if we dont give up shane and throw away expirings????????????

get it done morey....i am more than happy to go to war with

upgrade at point guard with mid level...........or trade
    vince
    tracy
    scola
    yao!!!!!!

bring it on in the west!!!!!!

I know everyone's talking about the cousin thing with McGrady, but sometimes you gotta spend to win. I don't know about Carter, but McGrady has stated that he's at the point in his career where he just wants to win.

we haven't gotten out of the first round, any body that doesn't make serious additions like this would be stupid. The mavs and the suns were diff because they were already at the top of the conference, we are just about the worst playoff team every year
